Questions & Answers
Question : What sort of animals were commonly found on a Medieval farm?
I'm trying to write up a bit of history about farming for a project, but I can't seem to find any citations of what animals were commonly found on a farm back in the Medieval/Dark Ages. Were they the same animals farms commonly contain now? Did farmers raise animals in Medieval times that are no longer found today?

Answer:
Farmers in the middle ages had the same animals that farmers have today.

Question : What kind of products would the animals in George Orwell's "Animal Farm" sell?
For a school project, I need to make a print advertisement for a product the animals would sell on Animal Farm. The product must be consistent with the content of the book. Any ideas, anyone? Many thanks in advance.

Answer:
I read this book a while ago, but i would guess any farm products that are not in high demand by the pigs? (Sorry if I'm wrong.)

Question : Animal Farm: what tactics and methods did Napoleon use to keep his power without any of the animals revolting?
like what did Napoleon do that made all the animals obey him and trust him ..? How did Napoleon brainwash the animals?from the novel, Animal Farm by George Orwell.

Answer:
Its a good idea to do your own homework. I could make stuff up, then how would that make you look in class?

Question : What are ways the animals lied to society in Animal Farm?
I am writing a paragraph on how the animals in Animal Farm lied to society. I need three examples. My first two are...1. lying about the mistreatment of the animals and how they were giving too much labor 2. lying about food rations. Could you please help me think of a 3rd. Thank you so much!

Answer:
The pigs pretty much lie all the time to maintain their power. From Shmoop

Question : Are cats considered farm animals or domestic animals?
In general, are cats considered farm animals or domestic animals? Some cats live on farms, some don't. Cows always live on farms. If a goldfish lives on a farm, does that make it a farm animal?

Answer:
cats are demestic animals. The cats on farms are mostly there only to catch all the mice and kill them. Just because an animal lives on a farm, doesn't mean its a farm animal! Most farms also have dogs, but dogs are domestic.

Question : What did the animals in Animal Farm grow?
In the novel, Animal Farm, did the animals grow vegetables, grains or other things?

Answer:
Wheat.

Question : What does the Barn that the lower class animals live in in the Animal Farm represent?
NOT the Farm House the barn with the stalls where all the animals but the dogs and pigs live.

Answer:
The hood.

Question : Who do the animals in Animal Farm represent?
I know Napoleon represents Stalin, Snowball represents Trotsky, and Squealer represents the media/propaganda. Who do all the other animals represent though? The big ones, like Boxer and Benjamin. I know most of them just represent society. But do some of them represent individuals, like the pigs do?

Answer:
I haven't read this book for a while, so correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't Boxer the big, rather dumb horse? And Benjamin is the donkey/mule who is suspicious of the pigs and their new rules? If so, then I think Boxer represents the unenlightened public who blindly agreed with the communist regime, and Benjamin is an example of the rare person who sees through the lies and brainwashing.

Question : In Animal Farm, why didn't the animals question the pigs?
In Animal farm, the animals are also guilty for the corruption of animals farm because they did not question the pigs. Why didn't they question authority? (What are the reasons for them letting the pigs take over). Thanks!

Answer:
The pigs had Squealer as their Minister of Propaganda, and he quelled the fears of the animals, and led them to believe that Napoleon was acting in their best interests. Remember at the beginning when Squealer was described as the animal who could turn black into white? This means that he was a very convincing speaker (and liar). Also, most of the other animals simply didn't have the capacity to understand what was happening. Boxer was too stupid, Molly was too vain, and Benjamin was too cynical. The sheep were just sheep, they went where they were led. Plus, the pigs had the army (dogs) at their command. If the animals had rebelled--like the chickens did--then they would have been killed.

Question : What animals in Animal Farm symbolize certain leaders like Joseph Stalin,Czar Nicholas, Nikolai Lenin&more?
Out of the all of the animals in Animal Farm like Snowball, Napeolean, Boxer, Old Major, Moses, Benjamin, Muriel, Mr. Jones, Jessie and Bluebell, Minimus, which animals symbolize people like Nikolai Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Czar Nicholas IL., Leon Trotsky and Karl Marx? ANy help is apprecitaed and thanks so much!

Answer:
