Questions & Answers
Question : Why do some people get a kick out of doing cruel things to companion animals like cats and dogs?
I understand different cultures have different philosophies concerning cats and dogs, but what makes me sick is when people who are from cultures where dogs and cats are considered 'companion animals' abuse and even kill animals for the sake of entertainment or 'kicks' do sick things to a pet...what really p*sses me off is DOG FIGHTING. And just as bad is COCKFIGHTING. Why do some people get their thrills from participating in or watching such barbaric 'sports'? Are the criminal penalties for those who participate in such cruelty strict enough..or too lenient in your opinion?

Answer:
with animal abuse it's eithera) a SERIOUS control issue or b) a psychopathboth suck. animal abuse sucks. people who do it are LOSERS!

Question : What animals, aside from cats and dogs, would at some point learn companionship?
Was just wondering; I'd imagine pets like geckos, snakes, parrots, etc would just try to escape as soon as the opportunity strikes, I was just wondering which animals, aside from dogs and cats, would eventually not try to escape and show companionship. thanks.

Answer:
acutally parrots are just like dogs and really become attached to there companion (you) they talk too and live over 100 years.if they become really attached to you and you died they would become very depressed and die also.another attached pet is a chinchillathey become attached to there owners and love to just chill with us and they would become depressed too if there owner died.other animals that become attached to there ownersferretsskunksother birdsetc

Question : How do I keep stray animals (cats and other dogs) out of my yard?
I live in a mobile home park. And I have a german shepherd/husky mix dog he is 1 year old (august 1 was his birthday). I want to keep other dogs and stray cats out of my yard. How do I do this?

Answer:
ive seen invisable fences, i think it makes a high pitched noise that bothers the intruding dog. you could probably find it online. if not, maybe put up a chainlink fence or find the dogs owner and ask them nicely to watch their dog.

Question : How they make the animals in the movie cats and dogs talk and move ?
How they make the animals in cats and dogs talk and move and its says they make the movie with real animals that explain is no animation how they make ? ThanxBy the way I am an European and I dont see that shows with hallywoodAnd Thanks Everybody for the answers

Answer:
CGIthey basically film the real animals, then edit the parts that they want to move on the computer.like most special effects use CGI :)in some other, possible lower budget productions, the animals are given food or something chewy (peanut butter, dog treats etc) to make their mouths moves. kind of the same for chimps back in the day too - a rubber band was put round their lips to make them move.also, many productions use realistic puppets, for closeup shots (babe etc)specifically for 'Cats and Dogs'pretty much all 3 methods are used.CGI: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/muppet/images/c/c3/Lou-cats&dogs.jpgand as i struggle to find other pictures, the scenes where the dogs throw their heads back etc (maybe saying woohoo or something) then they have been trained to bark, and the voice is just added over. and the little chinese crested dog that comes up out of a bin or something? thats a puppetCats and Dogs is actually mostly animated though.

Question : Why do animals like cats and dogs have quicks?
What exactly is the evolutionary point of them? It seems that in the wild they would cause more harm than good, but if nature gave it to them, there must be a reason for it right? Its like if the claw broke in the wild, they would cause a lot less pain if they didn't have quicks. Also, do all animals with claws silimar to that of a cat and dog have quicks?

Answer:
Yes, all claw-like creatures (including humans) have a quick--or at least something similar to one. Look at your own nails: see how part of them is pink, and the tips are white? That line that divides the two colors is our quick. If we split a nail, or trim them too low, it stings a little. It's just the natural build of animals with nails.Quicks kind of hold the nail to the paw. The quick connects the dead cells (the tips of the nail) to the living cells. Go to the first site below to see a diagram which helps support my explanation.I hope I could help you out :-)
