Question : Where can I find a program with large jigsaw puzzles?
I love jigsaw puzzles, and I prefer the ones that are software programs. I have been dealing with cancer for several years, and over the years I've found this to be a very good way to relax and get my mind off pain and worries. I recently bought a new computer and the jigsaw puzzle program is for an old system and will not work on this new computer. The company that made the program no longer exists. I've looked at several online jigsaws, but they are all small photographs and tiny pieces. I have a widescreen monitor, and I'm looking for a program that will have or allow photographs which are large, say 800 x 800 pixels in size. This older software program had photographs of this size and larger. Can anyone help?

Try the software section of Walmart, Kmart or Staples. They should have an inexpensive nice program like that.

I was surprised to see how many people still do jigsaw puzzles. Is there anything made as portable to work on my puzzle and can move from my table to store until next time. I currently cover it with a table cloth but the pieces show through and things stand crooked on the dining room table.

I bought one of just what you are looking for. It is a portable table that sets on your table. It has legs to give an angle so you can sit and comfortably work on your puzzle. The surface has a special coating that prevents the pieces from sliding down while the table is on the angle. They also have a laptop model that you can use in bed, a chair or on the table. I believe they do personalize puzzles and have a stock of unique one of a kind jigsaw puzzles.

I know in NJ there is a hospital that takes used puzzles to put in theirwaiting room while people are waiting for radiation treatment. It is a great distraction for those going through a really rough time. I know they are always looking for donations and it may be tax deductible.
