Questions & Answers
Question : why are the owners of horses so godam stuck up .del mar is like a5 star hotel the ritz .?
a trainer asked me to go in the saddling ring i did the owners looked at me like i was whait trash . i dressesd nice that day was polite clean . wtf becuse iam poor . .

Answer:
Del Mar is the place that every west coast owner wants to win a race just like Saratoga is on the east coast. There are a few owners who think their sh*t dont stink but the majority of us are normal joe smoes who love to go down there have a few beers and watch our horses compete. Next time you are at Del Mar look me up.

Question : Why do equestrian people have to be so stuck up and bitchy?
Just because they have a horse WOW! big deal. why be so stuck up and bitchy about it?

Answer:
Someones feeling peachy today.

Question : What does it mean when horses show there teeth?
i was wondering cuz ive seen alot of horses do it?you know like put there lip up and stick there head high?

Answer:
They are trying to get a better smell of something usually. Can't think what it's called right now. Usually done by stallions smelling a mare in heat.edit: it's the flehmen response

Question : are people who own their own horse stuck up?
Last year I helpt out at a horse farm. Most of the horses were owned by people who had them on part loans and other horses just where at the farm for riding lessons.well, the owner she had about 5 horses and they were not the 'tatty' type, these where BIG horses, very nice too no idea what they where but somene told me thier between 15-19 Hn so big the 15Hn was a cot (?) and she was 3 colours and the 19Hn was able to be a rase horse but he was a pet :O.well they was a family and they had 5 horses, they 3 kids had one and the youngest was only 3.they all had very posh names too, like thier girls was called rebecca and she didnt get called becky or anything, they had all the costly clothes and pink saddles LOLand this lass she was only 8 and she had two horses but her cares made her come up every day after school and weekendswell she didnt come up for a week because her carer would not buy her a mini Shetland now me im more of a reptile person and i got put up they on the farm which is in york and they way thier where. the people like. it was as though if you didnt own at lest one horse you were looked down at. and when i asked why their wanted a horse as a pet, seen as i watched a poor boy he was only 12, getting kicked by a horse he was grooming and it broke his ribs so i asked why anyone would want a pet that can kill if it wanted to i got asked to leave lol they said i wasnt right for that type of work. not even a goodbye so my question is have you even been somewhere where a person owns a horse and they've been so rude

Answer:
My best friend owns six horses. She's rude, but it has nothing to do with the horses.

Question : Do horse's manes stick up in the air when their frightened?
I was reading this book, and I'm pretty sure it was just a metaphor. Can anyone answer this? Thanks so much if you can answer by, like, tomorrow.

Answer:
Nope. It is said that they have no nerve endings in their mane, even. My four year old filly might beg to differ with that, though (she HATES having her mane pulled). Most of the time when a horse is frightened, they raise their head in the air, get big eyed, and try to run. Some horses throw their tails up as well. If they cannot run, sometimes they bite or kick. A truly frightened horses "flight or fight" instinct takes over. A scared horse can be dangerous...they are so big and when you have a 1000 lb. animal being frightened or distracted and not paying attention to handler it is a recipe for disaster. That is why it is so important to really work with horses and be patient and get them slowly used to the things that spook them.

Question : Does it bother anyone else that Ty on "The Real World" tv show doesn't stick up for himself the way he should?
For instance both Ty and Panda were drunk, Panda was acting as if he was going to pour something on Ty. They both started fucking around, horse play and it just so happened that the fall was near by, from the replay, it didn't look like Ty pushed him, it looked like it just happened and on top of that like Ty was holding onto him, just as he said. Why he allows this group of flawed housemates to put him down like that is ridiculous, it bothers me. Stick up for yourself, always ganging up on him. Yes, he has issues, BUT THEY ALL DO.I just heard Ty's because I'm big and Black and I think he's right, if he was White, it wouldn't be as much as a big deal, seriously. How about Panda not be drunk to the point where he knows he's near a fall. Blame everything on the Black guy, I'm tired of it, all these different rules. And I can't stand that girl with the black hair, ALWAYS IN OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS.You guys have issues who are answering, cleary she wants to be in control, you don't tell someone when you come inside, we're having a talk, you ask. And she's being confrontational, you don't get someone to listen to you bu calling them an asshole, a dick and a douchebag, she's just feeling insecure because she slept with him and he has the upperhand in that aspect. If he doesn't want to speak to you, he doesn't have to, talk to the producer or whatever and you leave, IF YOU'RE THAT UNCOMFORTABLE. If he got drunk again and acted out than that's different, since the incident he's drunk but hasn't gotten drunk.

Answer:
I don't really think that Ty is such an aggressive person how Emily says he is. I think it's only towards her because he likes her and can't have her. She eggs him on and then when he fights back she plays the victim and says he took things too far. Panda got thrown off the ledge so if anyone should feel threatened by Ty it should be him and Panda doesn't feel threatened so that should be the end of it. Emily just wants to have control over him and she says that she doesn't need a man in her life to feel like a woman but her actions say otherwise, she tries to act like she has a tough exterior and like she will never let a man hurt her but last night she cried because of what Ty said. She needs to admit that she likes him and wants him and she needs to quit instigating arguments with him and she lets him play wrestle with her and then when he accidentally hurts her she blows it out of proportion and says that he went too far. If you play with fire you're going to get burned.

Question : Why are most "horse people" stuck up?
It seems like everyone of them that I come accross either in reality or on here, are stuck up, think your better than everybody else. Why are you people like this??

Question : Why do some western people leave their horses tacked up in the trailer?
I grew up in the English world in Florida, and moved to Texas back in 1992. I was astonished at the first horse trailer I saw flying down the road with a horse in it, no roof, cut about half way down. The horse was sticking his nose out in front like a dog (which is comical now when I look back on it). that was only once though. I do constantly see horse trailers of all different sizes and shapes and load types, with horses some tied and some not- but have their big Western saddles on in the trailer! I was brought up that this was a big no, no. If the horse were to slip (especially in those stock trailers) and catcha hoof in a stirrup...hello broke leg! (at least pulling something if nothing else). Now don't get me wronge...I am not looking to create war here between English and Western (my very Dearest freind rides Western and barrel races). I am just wanting to know why A LOT of Western people do that? When I say tacked up in the trailer, I mean driving down the road that way...just to clarify. This is directed to Sarah C. If she is still out there. I do not live in a hillbillyish place. I live in San Antonio , TX. and before you asume Texas is back wards or behind, check-many of the major cities Have "A" and "AA" hunter/ Jumper shows. I don't think this matters what state your in. I just stated that I happen to live in Texas and have not seen it before. Thank you any way. Thanks your all your opinions, I do want to add (as a reply to some that think I am ignortant to the western world), I do have a western saddle and have trained western horses. I am not bashing the disaplin- I just happen to only see western horses being the ones halled in the trailers tacked up. I have my own opinion o the issue----It is PURE lazyness no matter how you look at it or make excuses for it. I just thought I would throw it out there and see what others think.

Answer:
I RIDE WESTERN BUT I STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE DO THAT. it makes me mad its a accident waiting to happen! it makes me so mad when i c this but the people who do it r usually old cowboys and r used to there old ways and r nvr goin to change...
