Star of the "Goosebumps" scary book and television series that is super-popular with preteens and young adults alike, Slappy resembles a cartoon version of Dracula but with just a bit more charm. Slappy is spooky and sporty in his prim-and-grim outfit. This Slappy Doll is wearing a dark gray double-breasted jacket, a white dress shirt, brown shoes, black socks, and a red bow tie to match the realistic rose suspended in his jacket lapel. Slappy also seems to mesmerize the viewer with his ultra-cool, Glow in the dark, ice-green eyes! This celebrity dummy/doll comes with a set of basic instructions included on "How To Be A Ventriloquist". Slappy is approximately 30" in length and is ready for immediate use.PLEASE NOTE: The mouth on this doll is operated via a string affixed to the back of the doll's head. Hold the head with one hand and pull the string with your other. I can do funny cartoon like voices (think of Ren and Stimpy) and want to start practicing with a ventriloquist dummy, but cant find any cute ones. Send me a link if you know of a place that isn't too spendy...thanks for the ebay suggestion but most of those are creepy or of sesame street characters. I dont want a creepy one!

Here are pictures of my 2 by Cher:http://b2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/00510/25/16/510326152_l.jpghttp://b6.ac-images.myspacecdn.co m/00856/60/10/856730106_l.jpgMary Anne Taylor is best known for making Peanut these days:http://www.onlineseats.com/upload/concerts/2394_con_Jeff_Dunham_3.jpgIf you're looking for something more affordable, I usually bring to the comedy clubs just a dog from:http://www.puppetgallery.comHappy hunting!Matt

Question : Where Can I find a Jeff Dunham Ventriloquist puppet of Peanut?
I am a ventriloquist and I would like a puppet of Jeff Dunham's Peanut. Does he only have one or do they make more than one? If they do, do you know where to find one?

Answer:
Generally, a puppet presented on TV or on stage is copyrighted, and unless sold as merchandise, you won't find any replicas sold. If you want something for decoration, then check out whether or not there is merchandise available:http://www.jeffdunham.com/If you want a puppet for a performance, then I suggest you come up with your own designs and either make it yourself or commission a puppet maker. (Puppet makers can and do refuse to make replicas of copyrighted designs) Furthermore, you will most likely get sued if you try and perform with someone else's copyrighted character.

Question : How to be a ventriloquist doll for Halloween?
I want it to be a SCARY ventriloquist doll. I want to wear a dress. Tell me what kind of makeup, dress, shoes, and other stuff I should wear and how I should do my hair.

Answer:
go for the most recognizeable ventriloquist doll, the 1950's lounge look.A Tuxedo complete with dorky bowtieAnd be shiny, that's the keyPlastic hair wig, which you can get from a party supply store you just have to search for it, you know what I'm talking about, it's a latex wig for your hair that is premolded. If you can't do that then go for a short hair bobbed wig and make the bangs part on the side of the head, for complete and dorky50's look, feel free to use barretts.Use a lot of make up and little powder, so your oil on the skin eventually bleeds in, but be careful that you don't begin smudging.big eyes, mascara for years, get a friend to paint "fake" eyes on your eyelids, so you have the look of never blinking.Eyeliner for freckles, brownAnd most importantly drawn the mouth lines, from the corners of your lips draw straight lines down to the jaw and then square out the chin, so you have the ventriloquist doll face.

Question : where can I find custom ventriloquist figure?
I'm a ventriloquist, been for years, but need a custom figure..getting sick of these already made ones I can find almost anywhere online.

Answer:
Have you tried:http://ventriloquistcentral.com/http://www.venthaven.com/ (it's for a convention I know, but they usually have links and resources for puppeteers)http://axtell.comhttp://puppetsbycher.homestead.com/Most puppet makers would do custom jobs, you just need to ask them. Be warned though, custom puppets can get expensive.

Question : Is Robbie an actual Ventriloquist or just an actor on Victorious?
It would be cool if he was a real one.I know his mouth moves but is that just acting or real Ventriloquist? I also know that Wikipedia says he is but does that mean his character is or Matt Bennet is?

Answer:
No, he's not actually a ventriloquist. According to the Victorious Wiki Rex is voiced by an uncredited actor named Jake Farrow.http://victorious.wikia.com/wiki/Rex_Powers

Question : What would make a good top for my ventriloquist doll costume?
I'm wearing a large black and pink tutu, striped tights, and a mini top hat. I'm being a ventriloquist doll. What would make a good and CUTE top? No strapless, sleeveless, or spaghetti straps.

Answer:
either something close this style (especially the sleeves) :http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=top%5Fcasual&product% 5Fid=2066987646&Page=1or a plain top and waistcoat like this:http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=top%5Fcasual&prod uct%5Fid=2069163360&Page=1these are modern and cute but do remind me of a doll

Question : What is the difference between a normal hand puppet and a ventriloquist's dummy?
I am selling a gorgeous monkey puppet on eBay just now and describing it as ventriloquist's dummy too - just wanted to make sure I wasn't breaking the trade descriptions act or anything. The monkey is 3ft tall and hangs around your neck - you move it's mouth via a concealed opening under his jumper at the back - so I think it could be used for ventriloquism - what do you think? Thanks janiceelizabeth

Answer:
You are describing it correctly. Because you can operate its mouth from within plus the operator (ventriloquist) is visible to the public, there you go. It is for a ventriloquist. If the mouth wasn't operate from within but for any other external method or the operator was not visible, then it would be an ordinary puppet.

Question : How Do you make a ventriloquist dummy?
I'm thinking that with Halloween approaching, the fact that I just downloaded audacity, and it would seem cool, how do make a ventriloquist dummy in the form of the infamous Billy the Puppet from the Saw series.and please be specific with detailed instructions on how to make one. I plan to, before Halloween, to make a Billy the Puppet halloween-themed "I wanna play a game" youtube videoif it's a website or something like it, please be specific and tell me where to find it.

Answer:
Here is a video clip of Jeff Dunham making Melvin, the Superhero guy. (It's part 1). Part II is on the right in the links:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHonhB3TV5UIt gives you a good overall idea of what is involved.I would also look at Mike Brose's site that has a lot of information on figure making, as well as a kit you can buy to help get you started:http://www.puppetsandprops.com/FigMakInfo.htmlGood luck. It's not easy and it often takes a few tries for people to get it right.
