Question : What gifts could i get my mum ad dad for helping me so much with my baby girls christening?
its my baby girls christening in 3 days and since im only 18 and havent done this before i have had tons of help from my parents. i want to suprise them on the day with a gift presented to them on stage but i dont knw what to get them. i thought of flowers for my mum but have no idea for my dad.. please help. ps theyre only 34 and 36

A nice picture of your daughter in a frame? Or your daughters hand prints and foot prints on some paper in a frame. Some shops sell double frames which you can put 2 pictures in, one side could be a picture of you and your daughter, or just of your daughter, and another side her hand or foot prints.Hope this helps.

Question : Do baby boys or baby girls do things first?
I'm just curious to see if more baby boys or girls do things earlier. Like roll over, sit up on their own, crawl, stand, and walk. I have a 6 month old baby boy and he can roll, but that's it and a lot of girls his age I see can already sit up on their own. Also, I did things very early and I'm a girl. I know all babies are different, but I was just curious when your babies did these things and what gender baby do you have? Thanks in advance!

Dont you just love how everyone judges you for asking a simple question. Wow get off your high horses people and grow up, answer the question in a polite way OR go on to another question that you may or may not know the answer and keep judgments to yourself! I dont know the answer to this question because I have only had boys until now. I DO KNOW that I got my ears pierced when I was 4 weeks old and I am glad I got them done that early, because now I never have to worry about the holes closing up because I got it done at such a young age. ALSO I dont remember a thing about it and I am thankful I didnt wait until I was 5 to get it done because I would have freaked out and would now be walking around with one ear pierced instead of 2. Question : Why do some pregnant girls are so arrogant and often boasted to others if they have a baby son?
Those who have baby girls will be more modest, not like those who like to boast around.
Answer:
most pregnant women before this point were like that way already. i think it deals with the levels of hormones... a son is always appreciated more. but i knew some pregnant woman who had a daughter and she attacked me.. she was crazy.

Question : Do baby girls in general hit their milestones before baby boys?
I have three friends with four baby girls between them. And four friends/family members with four baby boys plus my own son. It seems that in terms of sitting up, crawling, pulling up and cruising, the girls have all hit these milestones weeks to months before the boys. Is there some inherant reason this is the case like the boys all have bigger heads than the girls? or have more weight to support/balance?Or is it a big coincidence?I am comparing 9 babies here. Please don't answer with a two baby comparison!
Answer:
In general, boys have faster development in motor control, and girls have faster development in communication. Having said that, every baby is an individual and may not adhere to those "rules".

Question : Why are baby girls born with a better and stronger immune system than baby boys?
The fatality rate of baby girls is much smaller than that of baby boys and women have less illness and death than men from conception to the grave.How come that the immune system of baby girls and baby boys is not equally good or equally bad at birth?
Answer:
In newborn infants, interestingly, it has been found that the girls are stronger in general and are more likely to survive any health problems they have at birth than a boy would. This is especially noted in twins or multiple birth infants with both sexes being part of the mix. If they are ill, the girl has a better chance of surviving than the boy. If they are merely premature but healthy, the girl still has the best chances. The actual reason for this is a mystery to me.

Question : Baby Girls!?
Please HELP! We have a 5 week old baby girl and compared to our 2yr old boy shes a nightmare. We cant get her into any sort of routine, her feeds are all over the place, she will go from a couple of ounces to 5 ounces, she is gaining weight and filling her nappies tho. She hardly sleeps and when she does its for a max of 3 - 4 hours. then shes awake for 6 - 7 hours. weve tryed everything we know and have run out of ideas, so any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Hi 1st congratulations!As some of the others have said all baies are different and it does take a while to get into a routine.Our baby girl was a dream and quickly got into a routine after she got home and still sleeps well. My friends baby is a boy and still doesn't sleep all the way through and is nearly a year.She sounds like she is doing well if she is active alert, putting on weight and having wet and dirty nappies.I would have a chat with your HV and explain your concerns Good luck x

I think the names are great, but they don't have the same number of letters. Lydia Taylor has 5+6 = 11 letters, while Alexa Emily has 5+5 = 10 letters.When I was a teen, I was convinced that my children would be Michaela Rose and Jordan Thomas. Styles change over the years, as will your taste in names. Also, your husband may have other names that he likes, and you'll have to find a compromise.It is fun to think about names, though. I still do it from time to time, and I'm not planning to have any more children. :-)
