Question : How do baby girls differ from baby boys?
I have twin 2 1/2 year old girls and I know it was hard to take care of them when they were babies, mostly because there were two of them, but my wife just came home from the hospital with our newborn son, Adam, two days ago and he already seems a lot easier. What are some main differences between baby girls and boys? And is he just easier because there's just one of him? Thanks in advance!
Answer:
There is only slight difference between a baby boy and a baby girl, as they get older though, you begin to notice differences, like potty training, and things of that nature.It is much easier as you already have two little girls, so you basically already know how to do everything in relation to newborn things, and as they all get older together, you will find that they will play and learn from one another.One thing you really need to remember though is, no matter the sex, every baby grows at different rates. Your daughters may have crawled at 6 months or so, but your son may do it later or earlier. Good luck.

I'm just curious to see if more baby boys or girls do things earlier. Like roll over, sit up on their own, crawl, stand, and walk. I have a 6 month old baby boy and he can roll, but that's it and a lot of girls his age I see can already sit up on their own. Also, I did things very early and I'm a girl. I know all babies are different, but I was just curious when your babies did these things and what gender baby do you have? Thanks in advance!

Are most baby boys getting circumcised? I had my baby boy circumcised last year and I'm wondering whether I should have.
Answer:
Varies by area. Keep in mind that now that many circumcisions are no longer done in hospitals, the statistics aren't that accurate, but are only estimates. Currently, the rate varies between 45% and 85% depending on the region and how dependent the area is on Medicaid. Circumcisions paid for by Medicaid (despite their claim that they don't pay) is actually going up again because many parents are able to successfully argue that it is medically necessary by pointing out both the CDC and WHO recommendations. Medicaid stopped paying for circumcisions based solely on the recommendations of the AAP - I agree with the AAP that circumcision solely to prevent UTIs in children who have not yet been proven to have UTIs repeatedly was not reason enough to circumcise. However, significant reduction in the spread of STD transmission IS a bigger issue and affects society on the whole.

Keeping the little girls "for yourselves" sounds almost as bad as getting killed. Sex slaves end up killed a lot of the time anyway..The god in that book got his morals from the brutal tribal men that thought it up. Luckily most people these days realize its morally wrong to do anything like that..

I figure the colors blue and pink are so plain, why not do something fun!?I did my daughter's room a two tone color, there were four walls..Two of them were a light, pastel pink and the other two were a pastel yellow! We then went to Michael's and got wooden letters and painted them white to spell out her name!For a boy room, I like a pea green color like this one: http://d30opm7hsgivgh.cloudfront.net/upload/951973_MtZIQBA6_b.jpgLove, love the color! And it's so different from the typical colors! Question : Why is it that there are more girl baby clothes than boys at the stores?
So, from observation of many stores, such as, Target, Babies-R-Us and USA Baby I have found that there are more options for baby girls. There are not as many choices and options for baby boys, that portion of the store is usually very small. Any ideas as to why this is?These are all great ideas...keep them coming!! Has anyone thought about this before when walking through clothing stores? Am I the only one?

Because we live in a society that generalizes boys and girls. Girls are expected to be pretty and like pink, and boys are expected to not care about fashion and like sports. "and girls can go really girly or not so much, where as boys can pretty much only go boyish."<< Why though? Because that's what society expects.

Question : Why are baby girls born with a better and stronger immune system than baby boys?
The fatality rate of baby girls is much smaller than that of baby boys and women have less illness and death than men from conception to the grave.How come that the immune system of baby girls and baby boys is not equally good or equally bad at birth?
Answer:
In newborn infants, interestingly, it has been found that the girls are stronger in general and are more likely to survive any health problems they have at birth than a boy would. This is especially noted in twins or multiple birth infants with both sexes being part of the mix. If they are ill, the girl has a better chance of surviving than the boy. If they are merely premature but healthy, the girl still has the best chances. The actual reason for this is a mystery to me.

My uncle said that too when he found out I was pregnant last year with another son. His view on it is = it is the worlds way of making up for all the men we are losing in the war - to balance the world = Kinda weird when you think about it.....
