Questions & Answers
Question : What is the best makeup remover for mineral makeup?
I am new to the world of mineral makeup and am finding that the Oil of Olay cloths i've been using for years no longer cut it, there is still so much makeup left behind. I'm looking to hear what other women are using to thoroughly remove mineral makeup. Thanks!

Answer:
When i was in a play they made us wear a ***ton*** of mineral makeup and stuff and i found that luvs or some other brand of baby wipes work really really well!

Question : What makeup for a fancy dress party to go with my costume?
Im going to a fancy dress party as a gingerbread girl :) (ie- brown t-shirt with gumdrop buttons on it, brown shorts and dolly shoes, kind of thing) I want my makeup to match outfit, and have pale skin, blue eyes and blonde hair.I dont want makeup to look over the top but fun :)Would blue eyeshadow be too bold? What shades should i go for?

Answer:
how bout you do a blue eyeliner ,, like find a shimmery shade of blue eyeshadow get a fine (thin) liner brush wet the brush and drag it along the shadow ,, PRESTO eyeliner!, i love wearing it like this (this is how it is in my pro pix),, i usually take the blue liner pencil for the outside of my eye and wing it out just a lil bit and put lotsa mascara and use the blue liner for the top and bottom water line(the inside line of your eye) .

Question : What makeup would look best on someone with olive skin and hazel eyes?
I have olive skin and hazel/green eyes. I put on makeup. But, I would like to know what makeup would look best with my skin and eye color. Thanks so much!

Answer:
Obviously, olive colored concealer or cover up/foundation.For eyes, go for a smokey dark eye. Also try some pastels and nudes.Yay for us olive skinned girls - we can wear WHATEVER color we want. If you're light, you can only wear pastels, and dark-skinned, only bright colors. But we can wear any color to make our skin pop.Try warm, fall colors though. All the best.

Question : How do you get makeup out of a wedding dress?
When Itook off the wedding dress I got some makeup on the inside of the dress, it just rubbed against my face. I am giving my dress to my cousin and I want to off the makeup. What can I do to remove the makeup stain so I wont ruin the wedding dress??????? If I do soap and what will it just smear the makeup on the dress?

Answer:
Trying to do it at home could ruin the fabric and just make the stain look worse... a dry cleaner will fix it right up for you and make it new and fresh for your cousin!

Question : MaKeUp.........................??????????????!!??????
i either add to much blush or 2 little and on my eyeliner i have trouble putting on it idk how u people can help but if u have any idea plz help..p.s i dont bite

Answer:
Not sure what you are actually using and how you are applying, but here are some tips.Use brushes!!! Use them to apply and use them to blend! You don't have to get the perfect look on the first application, sometimes you have to work with it and blend. It's best to figure out how much you should have on your brush to get a light application. You could always add more. If you put too much, use a brush to try to blend. If that doesn't work use some translucent powder, apply over the blush and see if that works, If neither work, wash your face and try again!!! One of the ways to get your make up to look it's best is to take good care of your skin and have some moisturizer on. Don't apply make up right away, let the moisturizer sink in. You could be doing your hair or ironing your clothes during this time, it doesn't take long. Then begin applying makeup. Also, blush works best against a foundation. If you don't use one, that's ok, the moisturizer will do. To apply, pucker your lips and follow the apple of your cheek up through your temple. You can even use a little on your eyelids to brighten up. Now, let's talk about color. Wear a color that looks more natural, don't go for too much contrast or it will look like you have too much on no matter what. So, you have to look at pictures to see what colors are being worn on people with your skin tone and you may have to try several to find one or two that work for you. You want to go for the healthy glow. Above all, use a brush to blend and finish, no matter if its powder or cream.Next, your eyeliner. Not sure what you are using and how you are applying. It is difficult to get right and takes practice. I suggest you use a medium tone liner, or something the same color as your lashes. Pencils are good because you can get a narrow line and keep adding on. You can use a brush to blend so that any spots that the pencil didn't get you can blend into. You could also use the same color eye shadow and go over the liner for a softer look and to fill in. Make up takes some practice, but once you know how to work with your products, what amount to use, how much pressure to use, how to angle your hand for application and how to blend with the brush, you will always get it right! Practice makes perfect. Also, invest in a lighted make up mirror, it's worth it! Nothing worse than putting make up on in a bathroom and then going into natural daylight and getting scared! Praciticing and trying different products and application techniques can be fun, so enjoy. Remember, the skin care is most important. Healthy skin looks and feels good and provide a finer texture for your make up to adhere to.

Question : What makeup is best for someone who never wears makeup?
I never wear makeup but would like to dress up a little for an upcoming wedding. I am also pretty unfamiliar with makeup so if you have any tips I would love to hear them.I have light brown hair, brown/hazel eyes, brown eyebrows and light skin. Thank you!

Answer:
If its just for once, I would suggest to get it down at a beauty salon or cosmetic counters like MAC instead of spending all the money on something which you may not use anymore. But if you really would like to try starting to use some, here are few simple basic items which you can look out for.Tinted makeup primer / tinted moisturizer - go for tinted makeup primer if you have normal moisturizer already. This will smooth your skin, natural but good coverage and even your skin tone. You can check out Smashbox, Benefit, NARS, MAC or Makeup Forever for tinted primer.Mascara - Brown or black depending on how obvious you want the lashes to be. Go for lengthening if you want to open up your eyes or volumizer if you want the lashes to appear thicker. Go for non-waterproof if you want easy wash out and waterproof if you want the curl to last longer.Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen, Christian Dior Diorshow, Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express, Lancome Definicils, Chanel Inimitable & Clarins Wonder Volume are few which I like.Blusher - to get rosier cheeks for radiant and healthier look. Benefit Benetint, NARS The Multiple, Smashbox O-Glow are the ones I preferred.Lip gloss - juicy and kissable lips.Benefit Benetint can be used as lip gloss too, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Kiehl's, Revlon depending on the color you like.Try out the colors that is most suitable for your skin / lips / eyes and the dress you will be wearing. I will not reccommend eyeshadow for beginner on special event unless you have time to practise. Don't forget to get makeup remover and eye makeup remover to get all colors off your skin at the end of the day.

Question : makeup....?
ok so im kinda confused about putting on makeup...i know the order you do it in and everything but when you apply moisturizer do you have to get a certain kind so that it doesnt get sticky or anything like that ??im not a beginner i just have never used moisturizer with my makeup...

Answer:
Go a moisturizer that is oil free and hypo-allergenic. And since it's summer get one that has an spf too. Try Neutrogena.

Question : Who makes the actual makeup and cosmetics when you start your own makeup business?
I would like to start my own makeup business, selling my own makeup brand. How do I get started? Who will make the actual makeup itself?

Answer:
It's a long but simple process: You have to first visit cosmetic manufacturers, and pitch your idea. Some manufacturers find products too complex and pricey to make.Other manufacturers are afraid that your product won't be "worth their time."You just have to keep knocking on doors. Some manufacturers can do private and wholesale labels. Private is more door-to-door and wholesale is more professional. Here are some cosmetic manufacturers:http://www.conceptlabs.org/http://www.kiralabs.com/?gclid=CKKEq9eo7ZkCFeZL5QodqXa3RAht tp://www.beyondrealitycosmetics.com/Talk to a business consultant (it costs money to hire one.) They heed good advice. But, remember, a lot of successful business owners didn't hire business consultants. ;)Make sure you have a great idea, a great presentation, and a great product (of course.) GOOD LUCK!

Question : Makeup. . .?
I'm wearing a white girly top and blue jeans. Short medium straight hair with bangs... pale baby face, dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I'm going to a party any suggestions for makeup? I like to emphasize my eyes(almond and round shaped) btw

Answer:
You could do a light smokey eye. With browns, greens, umbers, and sandy colors. It has a nice fresh look to it. For make up elsewhere, I'd go for light foundation, just barely on. A light aplication. And some light pinkish-samon or clear shiny gloss. And light blush. Have fun at your party!
