Questions & Answers
Question : How to stay up all night and be tired at all during the day?
My sleep schedule is beyond messed up. I have to be up at 6 in the morning for school, but I don't get tired until 5. By that time, I will crash out, miss school, wake up at 5 at night, and repeat the process. I've tried everything (except medication) to try to fall asleep but nothing works!! So I plan on staying up all night & falling asleep later at a descent time. The only problem is, I can't stay awake all day. Any suggestions?

Answer:
Try staying as still as you can when you're supposed to be asleep. Watch tv or play a game on a portable device or read a book. That way your body will rest as much as it can during the night and it should make you feel more rested during the day. Also, since you're already laying down and being still, it could help you fall asleep sooner (I'm guessing you sit up by the comp most of the night?). Another thing you can do is to try being more active during the day (sports or helping your parents clean the house or something) that will make you more tired before your bed time. It should help you fall asleep sooner. Also, when you get home from school, try napping. You need some sleep and if you can only get it between 4 and 6 pm, then so be it. Your sleep schedule will get back to normal eventually.

Question : How to keep up a mohawk when it keeps falling?
Well, I've got about a 6 inch or so mohawk, and it always falls. I use Got2be hair gel, and the Got2be hair spray to hold it up. No matter what though, the tips of my hairs always curve, and the middle of my hawk falls down. I tried using less, and I tried using more, but it just refuses to stay up. I'm not sure if blow drying would help or not, though. Any ideas or tips on how to keep it up, and make it stay up? Thanks.

Question : What is up with the schools breaking up people dirty dancing?
At my school dance last night they broke up people not dancing face to face at a one foot length. So I was in a grind with my girlfriend and she some teacher comes up and breaks it up, then takes pictures of us dirty dancing. Why do the schools care how people dance? Because if the kids had a problem with it they wouldn't do it.Btw, I am a sophomore.

Answer:
because they think it encourages you know and they just don't want anyone to get any ideas

Question : How to hook up multiple devices through my home theatre receiver?
I have a few year old sony hdtv. I need to hook up an XBox 360, the HDTV cable box, a DVD player, and a home theatre receiver. The previous way we had it all hooked up was through the receiver but we had green on the screen so some guy from the cable company came and changed it. Now we cant watch DVDs or get the XBox to show up. How do I need to hook up everything?

Answer:
Why was there green screen? Perhaps the receiver was defective. The cable guy should not have left your other sources unconnected without explaining what was wrong. If you can, plug all your sources into the receiver again, and use the same external input to your TV(that the cable guy used) from the receiver output. If you still get green screen, replace the receiver.

Question : How do I break up a concrete patio without damaging my foundation?
My concrete patio backs right up to my home's foundation. If I rent a jackhammer to break up all the concrete, I'm concerned about when I get close to the foundation. Is there a better and safer way to break up concrete that is right up against the foundation?

Answer:
Get a concrete saw and cut a groove up against the house. You can drill tons of holes and accomplish the same thing but it won't be as smooth a cut.

Question : How should I set up a treasure hunt for a large group of young children in a library and parking lot?
I'll be setting up a treasure hunt to start off a party at my local library. In past years, around 50 or more children have come to the party so I should expect the same number (maybe even more). The children range in age from 5 up to 10 (although I was planning that the really young children would get help from their parents). The hunt will be set up in the library parking lot (which is pretty big) and in the children's section of the library. The only problem is, I'm not really sure how to set it up! Should the children work in groups or should they work alone? Should they have to carry a sheet and maybe pick up a sticker at each clue to make sure they go to each clue? Should a library volunteer be at each clue to read the clue to the children or should the children read the clues themselves?Any ideas or help would be amazing :)

Answer:
If you are going to have people showing up at different times, maybe you should consider just a generic hunt instead of a treasure hunt? Hide a bunch of little themed toys... like little dinosaurs or even cards with pictures. Tell them they can redeem 3 for a prize and send them off as they come in. If you would like to go with the treasure hunt, maybe divide it between the little ones that can't read and the older ones that can. For the younger ones give them a "map" with a picture story and a picture of the location of the first clue. At that clue have another part of the story and a picture of the 2nd place they need to go... etc... We did this with the 4-6 crowd and it was a hit... no "reading" required and they are doing it themselves. At the end they would tell us the 'story'- either as individuals or group (go with the flow for this group) and it would connect to the theme and what comes next. For the older ones regular written clues should work fine.I don't know that you really need to do the sticker at each clue so much as at the end. You'll know at the end when they "tell" you the story... but it's all about fun, so as long as they are trying I wouldn't really worry if they miss one or just send them back to try again. If you do it this way, you will have to have some sort of props around the parking lot to send them around. I would also have the volunteers just float- some kids they may need to walk around with but most they can just sort of watch out for as they reach the stations.Good luck :)

Question : What is up with facebook, suddenly today my Norton sited it as a phising site and putting up a block?
What is up with facebook? My Norton protection just blocked it as a phishing site? Never had this come up before?

Answer:
Its not only you. I'm having the same problem, so is a lot of other Norton customers. They say they re working on the problem. After about 2hrs mine just started working again. Not sure if it's because I did the Live Update or if they just fixed the problem. If you are still having a problem try doing the Live Update.

Question : What wiring hook up for brake lights does a travel trailer from the 70s typically have?
I just bought a 17 foot Monitor 2 travel trailer from 1975, and I am having wiring hooked up to a hitch tomorrow. I will not have time to inspect the trailer until saturday (it is a good distance from where i live), when I have to pick it up. In the 1970s, was there one general type of wire hook up I can count on being the correct wiring hook up, or do I really need to inspect the end of the trailer's wiring before hand? Thanks!

Answer:
If you are trying to wire plug like the old days to a new truck , will not work . There is an adapter relay you will need . The trailer is on a typical 4 wire system and newer trucks are on 7 .

Question : How do I set up a simple library for my local community center?
I wanted to open up a library at my local community center of just a few 100 books and hopefully increase that. I have no idea how to set up a library or how to catalog them. Can anyone suggest a program as I can set up a laptop if need be or maybe a website that would help me in setting up the library. Thank you.

Answer:
I would recommend a website because that way you'd actually, at some point, be able to go and let others use the archives.Anyhow, you could use a content management system (CMS), which is equally useful, but you'll need to learn a bit of it.However, a database should also help you archive stuff, and if you're looking for an easy to use, free database, try downloading the link given in the sources.

Question : How do you come up with ideas for stories?
Whenever I try to come up with something original, I just get a blank white page and give up. I write fantasy, but I don't really want to write about vampires, mermaids, werewolves and wizards. They are overused now. I usually think of random scenes, write them down and try to create characters and settings, but I end up failing. What is a good way to come up with story ideas?

Answer:
if you have plans coming up (going out with friends, a meeting, anything) just imagine how you could want it to be. you meet someone and its a strange encounter but then you go your separate ways. a while later you see each other again, but something happens........you can take just the tiniest bit of reality and what you know and turn it into anything. take a memory of yours and twist it. a goal you have, and on paper....make it happen (but since your into fantasy, add that to it).that's all i do, change what has been and what could be into something that would never happen. hope this helped, good luck!!
