Questions & Answers
Question : suvs???????????????????????????/?
I have a 99 s10 blazer and I have a lot of repairs. Like 5000 dollars so far I put in to it. We paid 5000 dollars for it. Do you think I should of got a explore? Or a Kia or different suv? but they have to have 4 wheel drive.

Answer:
Any 10 year old vehicle is going to break down. Doesn't matter who builds it. I don't know how long it took you to spend that $5000 fixing the Blazer but I'd say that is probably about average for an old 4x4 truck.

Question : Do the Republicans who bought SUVs during the temporary lull in gas prices now regret their decision?
Or are they sticking with their plan to never regret any decision?2008: "Can't Sell Your SUV? Blame It On The Cost of Gas"CNBC2009: "Surprise: Dealers Can't Keep Up With Demand For SUVs"Business Insider

Answer:
Silly... Republicans never regret their decisions! They blame the failures of their decisions on circumstances created by Democrats!

Question : Should Gas be Rationed for guzzling SUVs and Pickups?
Gas guzzling SUVs and Pickups greatly demand for gas and oil in the US which raise gas prices. So should we ration gas for SUV and pickup owners?I would say maybe ration them about 5 gallons a week.

Answer:
I'll vote for that. Where do I sign?Good Luck...

Question : What are some SUVs similar to the Honda Element or Nissan Cube?
So I am trying to find a SUV I like and I want more options. I LOVE the Honda Element and the Nissan Cube, but I want to see if there are any other cute SUVs that I would like. I haven't found any so does anyone have any recommendations as to which SUVs are similar to either of these. What I like about them is that they are small and their shape it looks more modern so ya.

Answer:
I used to own a Honda Element and enjoyed it for about 3-1/2 years, but it only seated four and I grew tired of the clam shell doors and tall profile. Replaced it with a second generation Scion xB (2008-2010) and I absolutely love this ride. Technically it's not an SUV, but neither is the Cube. The xB is big on the inside, small on the outside, fun to drive, has a good balance of performance and economy, is nicely equipped and reasonably priced. It's not available in AWD, but with traction control and stability control it is quite capable in snow, plus it has ABS and airbags all around. Earlier this year I took it on a 7500 mile cross country trip in all kinds of road and weather conditions and speeds up to 80 mph. Got 30 mpg and enjoyed every moment of the trip. Scion's "no-haggle" pricing makes buying a much more pleasant experience, and you can get all kinds of TRD and aftermarket accessories to personalize your xB if you're into that kind of thing.

Question : SUV drivers, guardrails are designed to redirect cars. Did you know guardrails are good at tripping SUVs?
With an SUVs higher center of gravity this is often enough to cause a rollover. The last thing you want when in an SUV is to be involved in a rollover because their roofs are generally not as strong as car roofs. Roof crush is not good for your neck & spine. Drive safely. The standards for roof crush are low & car industry lobbying against improvements is a scandal.

Answer:
Yes, I know - that's one reason why I don't drive an SUV any more. They don't even have a standardized test for roof structure integrity. And just think of all the people who buy them because they think it's safer...

Question : What are the differences between the Santa Fe and Tuscan SUVs?
Want to look at SUVs, and Hyundia's Santa Fe and Tuscan are at the top of my list. They are very similar. What are the differences?

Answer:
Size: Santa Fe > TucsonPrice: Santa Fe = Tucson + $4,000Engine: Santa Fe can have a V6 engine, Tucson no longer can (older models had V6).MPG: Santa Fe is about 22/28, Tucson is about 25/32Tucson also recently went through a model-redesign in 2010, so it's "brand spankin' new" the santa Fe model has been out since either 2006 or 2005. It's due for a model redesign soon, so what I'm saying is the Tucson will probably have more creature comforts until the refreshed Santa Fe comes out in the near future. Both Hyundais, both reasonable vehicles, both good warranties, both small/medium SUVs, both can have AWD... drive each one, see which you like.

Question : I want to create Honk-the-SUVs Day. How can I get millions of drivers to honk at big vehicles?
Let's use some peer pressure to stop drivers from driving vehicles that use more fossil fuel than necessary, such as SUVs in cities. If many people start honking at these vehicles, it will become unpleasant to drive them. How can I reach out across the nation to unite drivers of appropriately-sized vehicles in this art movement/social experiment?

Answer:
start a Youtube campaign.

Question : Why do we have to bail out car manufacturers who make SUVs and Large trucks?
Car dealers who had no qualms or concerns about making the TOUGH suvs and large trucks that gave about 14 mpg. or lesser are now asking for a bailout. Their CEOs were not willing to make better cars until now till their own jobs are at stake. Why must we the common man be responsible to bail out their car companies?

Answer:
We shouldn't be responsible for the companies~However, if the taxpayers do bail them out. ..we should demand CEO salary caps, stocks in the company and the companies produce electric and/or eco-friendly vehicles only. Personally, I think the gas companies should bail them out since the car company are making vehicles that continue to pad their pockets. Also, I think the government should take the money that they would use on bail outs to back small businesses that would make eco-friendly vehicles. You know ~ back the little guy instead of greedy CEOs who were thrilled making tons of money on their hummers and suv's.

Question : Any good small suvs with the money I have?
I have $2000 to get my first car. I really want a Chevy Blazer but my dad says they suck. I like them but not if they tear up alot. My parents say ill be able to find a good car for $2000 but I dont think I can. What do you think? Recommend some other small suvs. I dont want a car because its too small. Im a guitarist so cars are too small and I dont wanna ruin my gear in a truck.

Answer:
ok, your dad is right. chevys do suck. pretty much all GM cars suck. i have a friend who had 150,000 miles on his '99 buick and its toast. he would have to replace the whole engine for it to work again. my '93 ford has 300,000 miles and its still running like its brand new and i havent changed the oil in it for about 60,000 miles. maybe a honda crv? great crash ratings. i got in a car wreck in one a week ago and the car flipped over twice and i opened the door, got out without any bruises or anything. take a look at toyota rav4's too.dont get a hyundai or a kia. those cars suck balls. also, look at nissan pathfinders too or xterras. just dont get GM or korean.

Question : What awd compact/small suvs or crossovers are safe and are good for winter driving?
What are some safe awd compact/small suvs or crossovers that are safe and are good for winter driving? I know with it being summer it's a odd question to ask about winter.

Answer:
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, their top picks for safe small SUVs/crossovers are the Honda Element, the Hyundai Tuscon, the Kia Sportage, the Subaru Forester, the VW Tiguan, and the Jeep Patriot with optional side impact air bags. Any of these should be fine for winter driving, although you didn't specify what winter driving conditions are like in your area (for what it's worth, I'm in central Ontario and get by with a FWD compact). If it's enough to concern you though, make sure you buy winter tires.
