The Ducati 1198 RC intuitive remote control is shaped just like motorcycle handlebars and rotating it makes the motorcycle turn left or right. The horn button and big bike engine sounds add to the realism.

Questions & Answers
Question : How fast do motorcycles usually go in a motorcycle race?
How fast (in mph) do motorcycles usually go in a motorcycle race? I was at a racetrack watching the other day and was just curious. I'm not asking for the fastest someone's ever gone, but just the average speed in an average race. Thanks.
Answer:
It depends on the track.... At most Moto GP races riders are hitting around the 200mph area on the straight. Average speed is much less than that because of some of the tighter corners. Over on the Isle of Mann the average speed for the lap is getting close to 130mph with top speeds of 200mph again.

Question : What is the approximate range of insurance rates on motorcycles?
There have been a lot of similar questions to this one, but I am interested in buying a motorcycle, however from what i've heard the insurance for motorcycles is expensive. Can somebody please just tell me an approximate range of the insurance rates on a motorcycles without refering me to a website to get a quote from. Just any kind of number range would be helpful. Additional Info:I live in Vegas, I am a 17 year old male, and I have no idea what my credit is (don't even think I have one yet) if that matters.Thank you in advance.
Answer:
first credit has nothing to do with it-- the cheapest insurance for a bike is progressive my car insurance agent told me to go to them because they were higher as for a rate qoute you will have to go to the website because it is based on state laws and what is going on in your city age and type of bike ---I am way older than you- live in Louisiana and have been riding since way before you were born and a new HD big twin is about 1400.00 per year if you were to ride the same sled you are looking at 2-2200.00 add more for a pocket rocket and just a note put full coverage on it and keep it up because you wreak it will save you from some hassles GL

Question : What style of motorcycles are most stable?
I am planning on getting my first motorcycle. I am currently 17 years old and 5' 10', 190 lbs. I was planning on buying a naked bike. But after I've heard and read how motorcycles accidents could be fatal, I started thinking more carefully about the style of motorcycle to get that would give me best stability and safety. So which style of motorcycles are most stable and any suggestions of a brand...
Answer:
Those new Can-Ams are the most stable. As long as you can drive a manual, take a motorcycle safety course before riding and start on a 250 or 500 cc bike, then you should be fine.

Question : How can I get a new law enacted with my state legislature to require all motorcycles to have flashing strobe?
LIGHTS?I believe if all motorcycles were to have green or yellow flashing strobe lights installed on the front and rear of the bike that the motorcycle fatality rates would go down cause drivers of suv's would see them, 70% of all motorcycle accidents involve a suv not seeing a motorcycle and crashing into it.and how can i get rich controlling the market by being the only supplier that sells an markets these strobe lights?People are idiots,,, seizures?how will strobe lights cause seizures?
Answer:
strobe lights will cause seizures and will end up causing more accidents

Question : How many motorcycles are registered in the Philippines?
I'm calculating the probability of a fatal motorcycle accident for a project, and need to know how many motorcycles are registered in the Philippines. Even better if you could narrow it down to Manila or Fort Bonifacio. If not, please let me know where I could find out. Many thanks.
Answer:
The latest that we have was of 2009. In that year, we have 6.2 million motorcycles registered in the Phillippines.

Question : What purpose do the many motorcycles serve in the Presidential Motorcade?
I was just watching the Presidential Motorcade in Seattle and I counted at least 20 motorcycles in front of the President's limo. Other than for appearance sake, what purpose do these serve? Are these guys equipped for any offensive or special maneuvers? Thanks.
Answer:
They are probably there because if there is an incident and a pursuit is called for then a motorcycle is more able to maneuver in heavy traffic than a four wheeled vehicle in a chase scenario. Have a great day.

Question : What are some good motorcycles to look at for a first time rider?
I am 5'8'' and 165 pounds and completely inexperienced with motorcycles. I am looking for a small motorcycle that is not too expensive. I was browsing the internet and I liked the Honda Rebel 250 but I am looking for more suggestions maybe from someone experienced. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer:
Good for you for not thinking you can go right to a 600cc sport bike. You are already 10 steps ahead of these squirrels on here looking to go right to the racing class bikes. The Rebel 250 is a good choice for a first time rider. However, I am more familiar with Kawasaki, and I'd recommend taking a look at the Ninja 250 and the KLX250. The Ninja 250 especially is an excellent first bike. It looks just like the bigger Ninjas, is light, comfortable, will go highway speeds all day long and gets 70 mpg. I am 6'1" and 240 lbs and I've ridden many Ninja 250s on their first ride out of the crate, and after servicing, and I have a blast on them.See if you can find a used one. They generally go $1500 for a 2000 model year, to $3000 for a 2009 model.

Question : What motorcycles arent required to have insurance coverage?
I have heard that some motorcycles under a certain engine size aren't required to have insurance. I'm assuming the requirements vary by state but can anyone tell me what some of the restrictions are.
Answer:
Never heard that. If it has a license plate to be on the roadways, it usually needs insurance coverage. The less CC's the lower the cost. In Florida, I was told that I only needed it if I wanted my bike covered and that my auto insurance covered the other person, should I have an accident. Check your States laws.

Question : Motorcycles?
Why do people insist on calling motorcycles :scooters?A scooter is something old people ride down the iles of wal-mart
Answer:
I think this use of the term 'scooter' for a motorcycle is an Americanism really. Some of my Biking friends from USA refer to my BMW as a 'Euro Scoot' ( which I don't mind, it's not an insult, only a slang term!)In UK, a scooter is a Vespa or Lambretta style machine which kind of lost popularity after the 60's Mods(scooters) and Rocker (bikes) era but is gaining popularity again with young people because of the licencing restrictions ( 125cc)They are certainly not just for old codgers. I've seen them stripped down and raced,. Properly tuned, they can go like stink! I once borowed my sisters 150cc Lambretta sport. What a crazy ride, I really felt like a hooligan again. (Useless on the highway of course)In UK, Motorcycles are generally refered to as motorbikes or just bikes.( heap of junk is a Garden Shed or a Rat Bike)I've heard of them being refered to as Hogs, rides, scoots, 'sickles' , and scooters outside of UK.Whatever you want to call them, they're a lot of fun.
