Question : What exactly do i all need to decorate a wedding ?
Am in Houston Texas trying to decorate my own wedding but where can I find the tableware table cloths chair covers napkins etc ... Or would it be cheaper to pay someone to decorate for me any suggestions ? Thank you wedding for winter
Answer:
normally, the caterer or the venue provides all of that stuff, but if yours does not, then you want to try some of these places.http://www.houstonweddingrentals.com/http://www.linenhouse.com/http://www.boonepartyrentals.c om/http://www.acmerental.net/rental_table_linens.htmhttp://www.theperfecttouchlinens.com/

Question : Good tableware color combinations.?
I am having a bridal shower (i am the maid of honor so I am hosting the bridal shower) soon and I would like to use the colors yellow and orange because it is a fall wedding. I was curious what you think is a good color combination with yellow and orange. I would like to get solid colored plates, silverware, napkins, cups, tables cloths etc. using yellow and orange. I was thinking about getting all light yellow tableware (cups, plates, silverware) and maybe sunkissed orange napkins maybe rolled up and set on the plates to add a hint of orange to it and then maybe have a neutral color table cloth such as white, brown or ivory. ANY ideas or suggestions are very much appreciated.
Answer:
I say get golden yellow and dark orange tablecloths and go with more neutral table wear itself, yellow is considered to be the least appetizing color, that is why most places have neutral table wear and colored linens. A deep orange or rust colored table cloth with a golden yellow chiffon overlay would look really classy and beautiful with neutral table wear, with possibly a gold edge on it. Many rental shops carry different colors of linens, if one my you does not, table clothes are very simple to make.

Question : do you think that this is a bad idea?
this is my first year as a maried woman, and i wanted to make everything special. we have invited all the family for christmas dinner, this includes my new mother-in-law for the first time. i wante to impress everyone(including his mom) and bought a whole new lot of tableware. what i mean by table wear, is that i have bought, a new christmas table cloth, with a runner to match, place mats to match, and napkins to match, with napkin rings.i was really pleased with these, and wanted to see how they all would look on the day, so i set most of the table up. when i asked my husband what he thought, he just replied " yes, its ok". he didnt seem too enthusiastic so i asked him what was wrong. he said that if i wanted him to be honest, he would tell me. he then said that the napkins were not very practical( not the kind of material that you could wipe your mouth on if need be!) isaid that i could also get some paper ones too if someone needed one. he said i am defeating the object.what now?i have seen loads of napkins that are just for decoration. it wouldnt bother me, if someone else had these, and said "those are just for decoration". i would just laugh!. p.s. the funds have run out too, cant buy anymore. my feelings are a bit hurt too.i am so sorry folks, but i cant seem to give anyone a "best answer" as everyones answer was great. i wish i could give you all a best answer, but i cant. thank you all very much for all your advice, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.
Answer:
Men arnt usually a lot of help when asking thier opinion on tablewares, as its not something they usually care so much about. I can understand your wanting to have a lovely christmas trying to impress your new family, but dont do it just with bought things, have fun with the day, getting to know them, and enjoy yourself......dont put too many expectations on yourself or the decorations.....a really good time depends more on the food and the good company, I honestly cant remember decorations at all from previous christmases I have attended, but I do remember the fun had at them and the delicious meals served....Good luck and have fun

Question : Would you consider this to be ghost/spirit activity?
Ever since I was little, strange things have always happened to me.So much stuff has happened to me that I could probably write a small book. But I'm just going to explain the most scary/prevalent stuff so you all can get a feel for what I'm going through.1. This doesn't happen anymore, but whenever I would sit at my computer, I would sometimes feel someone playing with my hair. Whenever I would turn around, no one would be there, and the playing would stop for a little while. This happened for about 3 years, and it usually occurred during broad daylight.2. This also doesn't happen anymore, but whenever my mom would make dinner, it was always my job to set the table. I have four people in my family. Well, one day I was setting the table like usual, and I found that I had mistakenly grabbed 5 plates. I thought nothing of it and returned the extra plate. But this persisted for a few weeks straight with both our plates and napkins. The strange thing about it was that I would purposefully count four individual plates/napkins, double make sure I wasn't miscounting, and head over to the table. But upon distributing the tableware, there would always be five of everything.3. Every night to this day, I always hear taping and scraping outside my bedroom window. Naturally, I was really scared when this first happened, so I told my parents about it...but they just brushed it off as bugs hitting my window (because they were attracted to my bedroom light). But some of the sounds I heard sounded nothing like bugs. Eventually, I asked them to come and listen to the sounds themselves. But whenever they were in the room, the noises immediately stopped and wouldn't come back again until they left the room. (What's worse is that whenever I would walk from my room to my bathroom, the noises would follow me. Literally, I would walk back and forth between the two rooms multiple times to test to see if this was actually happening, and the scraping would move from one window to the next.) Well, I got sick of this happening, so I got my parents to actually go outside and investigate around my window. They found absolutely nothing, and still haven't found anything. During the day I sometimes check around my window to see if there is anything that might be causing this, but there is nothing.4. About 3 months ago, I was sitting in my room late at night reading an ebook, when I heard this strange sound. At first it was so quiet that I almost didn't hear it at all. I told myself that my mind was playing tricks on me. But a few seconds later I heard the noise again, this time a little louder. So I stopped reading in order to focus on this sound. There would be several seconds of silence, and this noise would last for a couple quick seconds, and then it'd go silent again. Each time after the silence, the noise would get louder. When I could hear it clearly, the closest thing I can equate this noise to was crinkling leaves mixed with TV static. So I kept listening again to see if maybe I could make something clearer out. But the noise never changed. After about two minutes passed, I began to realize that the reason the noise would get louder was because whatever was making the noise was getting closer to my window. The intervals between the silences were also getting shorter, as if the noise-maker was moving a tad bit faster.I was terrified, so I ran out of my room and childishly slept on the couch in parents' bedroom. I left my itouch (what I was using to read my ebook) on my bed when I left.Fast forward to morning - I felt a lot braver since it was now light outside, so I went back into my room to check my itouch for any facebook messages or app updates.Well, as soon as I turned it on, I found that Words With Friends was open. I hadn't played WWF for a few days, so I was kinda confused as to why it was open. That's when I noticed that "I" had played a word. I had no recollection whatsoever of ever playing this word, which was "mog."I had no idea what that meant, so I looked it up in the dictionary. This was the result I got:Mog-verb (used without object)* to move on, depart, or decamp (usually followed by "off" or "on.")* to walk or move along gently, slowly, and steadily.-verb (used with object)* to cause to move to one place to another. So there’s my story. It would take entirely too long to recount every single thing that has happened to me, but I hope these few examples are enough to prove if any poltergeist activity has been occurring or not. And, if there really is something here in my home, what can I do to make it end? I've tried putting salt out, but it hasn't helped.Thank you for your help!If you are going to claim that ghosts/spirits are not real or do not exist, then please back your statements up with facts that support your claims. Just saying "no such thing" with no other details isn't going to convince anyone. Thank you.
Answer:
This is definitely sign of paranormal activity. I would have said it was harmless. And i kind of think it is...because most ghosts are harmless...just dead people that have lost their way. but that 'mog' thing almost sounded like the ghost was playing with you. but it also just could be looking for your attention. you might want to look up the history of your house and see who died. the person might have had a daughter and is attached to you because of that...becasue he thinks you are she. you should try talking to it...and telling it that its dead, and that you're sorry. once you know its history though...talk about it...like if the ghost did have a daughter and he thinks you are his daughter...tell him that you are not...and find out where she is and tell him to give him peace of mind. and tell him/her that she is alright. i mean that is all just hypothetical but you get the gist right? a lot of ghosts are just confused and are trying to contact you through means that may scare you. but be careful...because there are some ghosts out there that could be menacing. if you find this is the case...burn sage in your room. it will cleanse the air of negative energy...including ghosts with malicious intentions...i know it sounds lame with the sage and all it actually does work. look up the magical and spiritual properties of sage online...its a very old but commonly used way of cleasing air. Good luck!

Question : How to make disposable tableware look good at my reception?
My soon to be husband and I are going to the Bahamas to get married in January, and a month later we are having a reception. We have chosen a scaled back version of a traditional reception by having plastic silverware and plates. I have also ordered beach themed personalized paper napkins. I am just wondering if there is a creative way to display my round tables without it looking and feeling picnic like. We are having a buffet dinner if that helps. Thank you!
Answer:
When I get married, I planned on having plastic silverware and plates too. I think the clear ones are kind of fancy. They look better than the white ones. And don't get paper plates. You can get some cheapo plastic plates that are clear at the store that would look pretty good. And if they're clear, you could put little beach designs on the bottom of the plates so they'll show through to the other side.I hope this helps.
