Question : dance praise mats work with regular ddr?
Just curious.. my husband and I got a pc dance praise game that came with the mat and we didn't know if it would work with regular DDR games (just the disk for different music). Also, if we get regular DDR game, is there a pc version or only xbox? And does anyone know if the mat will work with an xbox even though it was designed for pc? I am pretty sure xbox stuff works on pc but not vice versa typically. Thanks!

If it has a xbox controller port, then it should work. If it just has a USB port, then I'm not sure. You can buy DDR most any video game system; xbox, xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 2. I'm not sure about a PC version of DDR.

Question : How can I get a better rhythm and learn to dance?
I recently tried a locally based dance lesson to learn how to dance in latin american styles (cumbia, salsa etc). I discovered I have no rhythm whatsover and the dance studio struggled with me as well. My wife is Ecuadorian and I want to impress her in about 9 months for our wedding aniversary (she is in Ecuador now and can't teach me, plus the suprise would be nice). I thought about getting a dance mat for rhythm training but don't know what to look for with the right music (don't advise any night club type music please). Is there also any good DVD's out there so I can at least get the basics before I go back to another dance studio? Any help would be great....

Question : Which PS2 Dance Dance Revolution Game? What DDR mat is best?
I am thinking of playing Dance Dance Revolution for weight loss. I am planning to buy a PS2 soon, but I'm not sure which version of DDR to go with. I want the one with the best electronic music, are there any with electrohouse? I don't want mainstream American music, which I heard is on DDRMAX. Hello, the latest DDR games have more modern music and less techno/house from what I'm seeing. So I recommend buying DDR Extreme 2 if you're looking for that techno/house feel.As for the dance pad, they have a large price range on what you're looking for. You're right, those foam ones aren't that good and you can buy them at your local game stores for about 10-25 dollars. Serious players buy metal dance pads only available online to achieve that arcade feel. These pads range from 80-350 dollars, so non-serious players should go with a foam pad. check out the following thread for a review on some good dance pads:http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showthread.php?t=57975Cobalt Flux, Red Octane, and the Blue Shark are the best of the best on metal dance pads.
