I'm doing an informative speech on vegetarianism. What kind of visual aids could I use? Btw I can't be trying to persuade the audience, because then it would be a persuasive speech.
Answer:
Bring in like a severed cow's head as a prop and it will scare them straight. Usually you can get them from a butcher or you can just chop off a cow's head if you own cattle. It is a really good way to be persuasive.

I have recently met a girl who has needed hearing aids since she was 2 or 3. She had an operation that caused her to loose her hearing. She has them in both ears, as I assume her hearing is pretty bad. Her mind seems fully developed through text and e-mail chats but when i met her in person her speech wasn't to great. She talked like she was mentally challenged. Can hearing out of hearing aids pretty much your whole life affect your speech that much?

does it help? my child's doc suggested a cochlear implant for my child. she has sensorinureal hearing loss. but when i did research in the internet... i decided to keep the hearing aid for her instead. she hears with them and sometimes repeats after many repititions. does anyone use hearing aids? or have a child who uses hearing aid and also gets speech therapy ? please share. thank so much.

Well, I have a hearing disability, though a small one, and the audiologist kept pressuring me to get hearing aids, though I flat out refused and told them I would smash them if they made me get them.So, they gave in and said my hearing wasn't THAT bad, and I didn't REALLY need that bad, so I got off.I have had speech therapy, and that wasn't so bad. Mostly, they would use mirrors and make us practice how we shaped our lips and moved our tongues when we talked.My teacher's granddaughter had gotten cochlear implants though and they made a world of difference to her. I think if she needs it, then do it.Hearing aids can be a bit ehh, because I will admit I was horrified that I would have to use them, and there is a chance of them being lost, or damaged or ruined.

I hope you don't have any mistaken notions about "arranged marriages" and present it without the usual stereotypes attached to it.You could show the traditional "dates" of the past where the girl usually served tea and snacks to the guy and his family and their general interaction. It has been a subject of many funny situations in old bollywood movies (50's, 60's). Perhaps you could google it.Compare it with modern day arranged marriage dates which are like American ones.

If you find that you have an Army/Navy store in the waterfront or the old parts of your own community, you could buy a WWII soldier's helmet, or gas mask, or ammo belt, or canteen. You may be able to get an old mess kit, or WWII soldier's boots. If you are lucky and have the money, you may be able to buy an M1 Rifle. All of these items would also be for sale on the internet on Amazon.com or Craig's List. On the internet under the Treaty of Versailles, you will find copies of the Treaty and a picture of Roosevelt, the British Ambassador, and the Russian dictator. Good luck.
