Questions & Answers
Question : Is getting a degree in any writing course useless?
So basically if writing were a person, I'd be marrying it. I love writing and have loved it since i could hold a pencil. My problem is that whenever i tell people, "I want to go to college for creative writing or maybe journalism" they just respond with a tilted head and say, "You...can have a career with those?" So now I'm starting to have a mini-crisis.When I say I want to become a writer, people respond with "That's a waste of your time""You'll end up on the streets""Pick another job, you won't get anywhere with writing". This breaks my little heart in two. I suck at math and chemistry, and physics is just out the window for me. Biology is okay, but I would curl up under my fridge and die if i majored in that, I just know it. So at this point, my dream of becoming a writer (a columnist, an author, a journalist, a WHATEVER) is on the verge of being shattered. If I have to rearrange my life to where dim the light on the right side of my brain down and amp up my left side, I'd like to do so now and not when I'm getting ready to go to unversity. Are there any stable, good paying jobs for someone passionate about writing, or should I cry my way through courses and become some science-based person who will for sure (or at least probably) have a stable job/income once out of college?Or maybe I'll just rip my brain out and live under a rock >.<
Answer:
Your first duty as an adult is to not be a parasite. If you take some vague "writing" degree, it is very possible you will be living on the street in a cardboard box after graduation.Get a degree in some marketable Major. After you graduate, write between shifts in the salt mines.Journalism is dying.

Question : Help on Science Category?? Answer is probably REALLY obvious!!!?
okay so my science project is which increases your pulse/ heart rate more, amp or monster? and what category would it be under between chemistry, medicine and health, or physics? PLEASE BE SURE!!!i mean amp or monster ENERGY DRINK, lol, sorry!!!!!!
Answer:
1. So I guess you mean "listening to loud music" or "being scared by a monster". Which one do you think? I'd say monster... especially if you're easily scared.2. Medicine - this has to do with the heart, a part of the human body.
