Questions & Answers
Question : the leap pad vs. iXL learning system?
I have a 4 year old who is really into learning right now. she probably goes through 10-12 papers a day with drawing, tracing and coloring a day. I though I would try and electronic learning system to help her learn while keeping her entertained throughout the day. So do I go with the better value of the iXL learning system from fisher price or the more expensive Leap frog Leap Pad? She has never really used anything electronic, so I am afraid to go with the leap frog if she tends to not get into it. but on the other hand I don't want to go with the fisher price one if the leap pad is better. I'm stuck..which is better?

Answer:
Both of the them are good, but i would go with the leap pad.

Question : What kind of job can I get in Japan? My experience is listed below.?
I have a Japanese spouse, I have 10 years experience in my career field (cable & antenna maintenance), I have 7 years in the USAF, I am 3 classes away from my Associates Degree in Electronic Systems Technology (Speech, Math, & Social Science....going to Clep all 3), and I am currently learning Japanese.

Answer:
I have no idea for your situation. I know of people have gone to Japan as a JET--to teach English. Can your spouse help you get a job?Found this blog that had a lot of links to look at.ETA:One of the comments also listed these links:Job Boardshttp://www.careercross.comhttp://www.careerjapan.jphttp://www.jobgiant.jphttp://www.workinJapa n.comRecruitershttp://www.ewc.co.jphttp://www.oakassociates.co.jp

Question : Which electronic learning toy is better?
I am thinking about getting me three year old boy either the Vtech MobiGo Touch Learning System or the LeapFrog Leapster Explorer. I like that the MobiGo had a touch screen but... Which one has more games? How much are the games? Is it worth my money?Thank you

Answer:
Our son has a V-Tech Reader and loves it. It has a touch screen and games/ebooks can be downloaded to an SD Card. My only complain is that an adapter is not included, but can be purchased separately for about $10. It is for ages 3-7 and we got it for our son's 5th birthday. While it is no replacement for interaction, it is definitely worth the money and is especially great for car rides.

Question : What electronic learning device should I get for my 3 years old?
I am having a hard time deciding what electronic learning device to purchase for my son. Although he loves books he became bored extremely fast with the Tag Junior when he received it last year. He loves playing game apps on my phone. I am wondering on opinions on the iXL learning system by fisherprice? Also the Vtech Vreader or MobiGo? I want something that is educational (but not just educational), something that has games and books.

Answer:
Leap Frog (bought from Toys R us) has a learning device (letters), the child choose the letter and it gives the name and sound it makes. Once the child advances then they can form words. i bought several others like Vtech, some too advanced, not advanced enough or wouldn't keep his attention. My son was using graphic design programs (at 5) like (AutoCAD, photoshop, illustrator, isodraw) he was enjoying them a lot more than some of those learning devices so whatever you choose watch to see how long it keeps him/her.

Question : Is there such an electronic chip system to serve as a correct/incorrect notification device?
Such as if I made a learning tool for children, pressing a button while, for instance, a picture of an apple is matched to the word "Apple", a green light turns on. If the picture was matched to say, the word "Dog", a red light turns on.But it has to be in the form of an electronic chipset. The lights need not be the said green/red.It would be nice if you know the proper name of the set and possibly a weblink. If you can't find it, providing a possible alternative will also get you best answer.

Answer:
This is so simple it does not need any electronic circuits. You only need a battery, a light bulb, and a few wires. You create a board with answers on the top, questions on the bottom. Under the board you connect the answer with the question with a wire. Next to each answer/question you put a little spring that connects to the wires under the board. You have two master wires . One from the light bulb, to select an answer, and one from the battery to select a question. If the kid picks the correct answer, the circuit "closes" and the light is on. If not, there is no light.Of course, on the board, the answers and the questions are in "random" order. *--question1------*answer1*-- -Wire 1--battery ----Light bulb----Wire 2 --Question 2-----ans2-------- -Question 3------ans3---------Check any book on simple electronic projects and they have it. You may even still find such games in the market (They were popular in the 60's)

Question : Why must we learn micro electronic (microprocessor 8086 base system)?
My micro electronic lecturer gonna ask me tomorrow, help! Thank you

Answer:
Just taking a stab at it-the 8086 instruction set is compatible with pretty much all Intel processors when it comes to 16 bit programming. The 8080 instructions are for 8-bit programs (yuck).

Question : Will there be a demand for tech workers who are trained on electronic health records?
I am taking a course in a Health Information Technology program and training for a position as a tech support staff that will help healthcare providers with their electronic health record system. We are learning how tt implement, configure various EHR systems. The community colleges across the nation have been given grants to train the workforce to help Regional Extension centers (also grant funded by ARRA) to make this happen. Are there or will there be a demand for workers who are skilled in electronic health records?

Answer:
I would assume so since it is an area that the healthcare industry is trying to improve upon.
