Editorial Review :

Small-scale version of the boy-I've-got-a-lot-of-missiles-on-me mecha from the OVA (Original Video Animation) series "Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz." Chest and shoulder hatches open. Back-mounted guns can be gripped (includes three versions of the hands). Specifically designed to be able to be posed in some of the more memorable ways it was seen in the series. Snap-assembly, fully-posable and molded in color. Note, however, that many of the smaller details are NOT in their "real" colors and painting this model will make it look much better. About 12cm tall when completed.

Questions & Answers
Question : What do I need to do to become an engineer who designs robots?
I am currently in high school and would like to eventually work on development of a humanoid robot. I am thinking about majoring in mechanical engineer. But I don't know how I would get a job working with robots. What are some steps I need to take to become an engineer who works with robots and where would I land such a job, like what are some companies, corporations, or firms are currently developing robots?

Answer:
I've always been under the impression that robotics fall more under Mechatronic engineering. Some universities offer degree courses in this. Technically speaking, it is kind of a branch of Mechanical Eng.

Question : How will the Capitalism survive when robots work for us?
How would the economy survive if robots took over our jobs, and did everything for us? How would we get paid? I was just wondering, will we end up sharing the money the robots make for us? Will we just work on developing robot?????????? Will the government control the economy?

Answer:
The technology/machine fallacy.Who *makes* the robots?Who *repairs* the robots?Who *programs* the robots?Who *operates* the robots?People/humans do.You're also falling into a trap that there is a predetermined amount of jobs. Now, if artificial intelligence essentially made robots like people, then we might have a problem

Question : robots??????????
do you think that there are robots among us that live among us and we don't knowI hope so

Answer:
I agree with you! I just hope they aren't like those robots in the movie I, robots where they start attacking everybody! That gave me nightmares!

Question : Would robots be good companions for people with aspergers syndrome?
I've always wondered seeing that us people with aspergers lack friendship connections due to our limited understanding of empathy and robots being without emotion. Would robots being the way they are be good friends to us asperger people.

Answer:
People with Asperger's aren't robotic, emotionless, or devoid of empathy. The reason people with Asperger's struggle with social interaction is because we don't naturally understand social situations. This leads to problems forming relationships, holding a conversation, and behaving appropriately in a social setting. Most of us have trouble reading people, which adds another layer of difficulty to socializing.I wouldn't want to hang out with a robot, personally. I don't think anyone could even have a friendship with a robot, who, being emotionless, wouldn't care. I may not always understand people, but I do like them.

Question : How advanced are the robots we have created?
How far are we along with robots, or how far behind are we? How long before do you think robots can do everything such as cook, clean, and even be our friends? What is the most advanced robot in the world currently?

Answer:
they can do almost everything you canandthey are replacing our workers in factories

Question : What was the kids' cartoon about the robots with interchangeable parts?
i used to watch this cartoon on the weekends about this kid that had a yellow robot named beemon (sounds like digimon, i know. but im sure that was his name) and the robot could change different parts of his body with other robots and gain different abilities.plz help. i've been looking online and all i can find are digimon articles.

Answer:
It sounds like the anime "Metabots". The yellow robot's name is Metabee. Here's an image link:http://animemix.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/reviewsmedabots01km2.jpg

Question : How robots do not increase productivity?
I'm going to be in a debate on Thursday and my argument is "Robots do NOT increase productivity. But I really can't find information about how robots don't increase productivity. Do you have any ideas about what I should say?

Answer:
well, i can think of one thing. although robots may be able to produce faster, their work is often generic and not as unique as what sometimes a human can do. take woodwork for example. there are probably machines out there that can make a bench, but its probably just gonna turn out to be simple planks that are made into the shape of a bench. comparably, a master craftsman can also make a bench, but it is apt to be a better quality and unique product, making the customer more satisfied and more apt to buy that product over the generic bench. if they buy the craftsman bench, less of the generic will be sold and there will be a backlog at the warehouse w/ the robots, causing a slow down or stop in production.i know that is really beating around the bush, but it was about all i could think of. hope it helps!

Question : Can you please name Robots from movies that can happen within a 13 year old boys life span?
I need a few robots that people can make within my lifetime. E.X. I robot. The white robot.

Answer:
R2D2 is the most realistic in my opinion..you do know SW right?

Question : How do humanoid robots recharge themselves?
I am doing a project on humanoid robots and I need a little information. I know humanoid robots recharge themselves but what does a humanoid robot need/use to recharge itself? Like, what power does it get and where from?

Answer:
Jerry's quote is from Billy Madison:Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. Billy Madison: Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine. In answer to your question, robots such as you describe run on house current so when they need recharging they simply return to their docking station in the corner of the garage. Think of them as giant cell phones with legs.

Question : What is the government plan when all jobs are taken over by robots? What will the humans do?
Well people say US is a service country now. A factory could be ran by robots. Almost any job can be replaced with robots. I am a programmer, studying Artificial intelligence and Stuff. Working on a website which will one day run it self. If someone abuse reports, the system decides. This site when done can be ran by just one person,Me, updating and adding more code. What will the government do when the US gets to a point where all jobs are done by robots? What will the humans do?

Answer:
You can buy robot insurance to protect you when you lose your job. It will also protect you if the robot hunts you down to eat your medicine for fuel. See the link below for more details.
