I'm doing my Christmas Shopping and I'm looking for a Model Car, but one of the Die-Cast Models, the pre-built ones...What major stores or businesses would sell a variety of these? Or, what kind of Local Businesses would sell these? Hobby Stores, etc.?I am particularly looking for a NASCAR Stock-Car and a Classic Truck.I live in Utah if you could help me there, as far as Local Stores go. But any types of local stores I could research would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advanced!

During the holidays, almost all the major department stores (Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, etc.) sell die-cast models. They're extremely popular. Hobby shops would carry a bigger variety, as you're most likely to find things like Thunderbirds, Mustangs, and Classic Chevys at the big-box retailers.I have even seen them at big gas stations and truck stops. If you don't mind shopping online there's bound to be tons of them on Amazon or Yahoo! Shopping.

I collect die cast toy cars made by 'Johnny Lightning'- they make classic american cars from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s- But I havn't seen any Johnny Lightning cars in toy or hobby stores in about a year- what happened, did the company go under? Were they bought out?

no idea in Jeddah...lol...i dun even think they'd have a location on the internet...check with a local car-dealer or one of 'em rich kids at the Corniche...they seem to know plenty about cars etc.

Question : Where can I find a price guide that will tell me the individual value of my Hot wheels and die cast cars?
I have a large collection of Hot wheels, Matchbox and die cast cars I want to sell but cant find a reputable price guide to determine individual value for each piece. I have approximately 2500 pieces in my collection but haven't found anybody who publishes a guide aimed at the hobby.

There are several Price guides, but each are aimed at different eras of the Hobby.If you have mainly newer stuff ( 1990's to present ), the TOMARTS Guide to Hot Wheels is best.If older, I recommend the Ultimate Redline Guide (1968-1977)

Question : School project?
i am a second year machinist. And i picked my year end project to graduate. And it will be an rc car. I get to use 3 things. A body (A 99 Mustang Die Cast) cause I dont have metal thick enough to machine one. 2. A motor. 3. A remote system. Everything else will be built by hand. Including the rims. What I need help with is dimensions of the motor. Length, Width, and height. And exact measurement from th end of the shaft to the block of the motor. I want to use the biggest nitro motor thats out there for rc cars. The only reason I ask is because the closest hobby shop is 3 hours from me. And with school and work there is no time. Thanks for any information that you can give.And any dimensions on a 2 speed gearbox for an rc would be helpful as well.

That honey of mine is a nut when it comes to airplanes. The problem is he's not that handy (when it comes to building stuff!!) so I want to get him a gift that won't require much skill in assembly. I've seen ads for die-cast aircraft kits by a company called "Hobby Master" - does anybody have any experience with these? How hard are they to build in comparison to say a 1/72 plastic model kit? Is glue required?All helpful responses are appreciated.

I'm into typical guy stuff like sport cars, sport bikes, women, extreme sports skateboarding snowboarding. I'm currently into collecting die cast super cars sport cars imports which is kinda lame but fun. I'm not into football like alot of guys, honestly barely understand how it's played. Also for some reason I've never been able to learn playing cards. I've been isolated for the past two yrs stuck at home either watching TV or bullshitting on the PC. PC gaming is a hobby of mine, I've been playing Need for speed hot pursuit, Just Cause, assassins creed and bound in blood I just purchased off of amazon for five bucks. Mafia wars on facebook takes up alot of my time. Just looking to build some new healthy relationships with someone guy or girl. I'm pretty much done with drinking and druging thats created the majority of my problems in my life. Dubstep is my music genre of choice but listen to a wide range of differant music.
