Questions & Answers
Question : Why don't the Fallout team make a Fallout Tokyo or Fallout Moscow?
I don't understand why American game companies are so AMERICA oriented. Yes, I understand a large fan base is American, but do all games have to be set in America??? Why?For fun and variety and landscapes, why not set games some FALLOUT games in other countries, if there was supposedly a "WORLD NUCLEAR WINTER" then why is only AMERICA featured? What about the rest of the world?plz somebody answer!
Answer:
The entire Fallout series is set in the remnants of the USA because its the best place to provide a coherent world with as much diversity as possible. Only a country like the modern USA could be so paranoid, bloody minded and all-out stupid as to cause a global nuclear war ending in 3 hours and all out destruction. It wasn't just "nuclear winter" - it was worse. The fates of other nations and countries are left deliberately vague because they have no impact on the Fallout series so far (not counting the glimpses provided by the few immigrants such as Morriarty's father and Desmond the ghoul), and because there's literally no remaining lines of communication to such places available. A game set in China would be dull because the place was still a communist state up to the war, there was no real cultural diversity and everything was done by the many, for the supposed benefit of all, under the eye of the ruling few. If you've played the whole series and picked up more of the hints its mentioned that other countries were fighting during the Resource Wars that preceded the Great War (and the nuclear apocalypse) - for instance the UK was fighting Afghanistan, there were conflicts between Africa and the Middle East, and the USA invaded and took over Canada shortly before that abruptly stopped mattering.Above all this though, it was the Vaults that make the USA the location for the games settings. The same idiotic paranoia that destroyed the world saved the rich, the powerful, and the unlucky who would become part of the Vault Experiments. Each Vault was timed to release its residents into the recovering world at different times depending on the location, the set up, and the social experiments performed in each Vault. Other than any few remaining decendants from those affected by the bombs less directly, almost everyone you see in Fallout has come from the Vaults in some way.I do agree though, that it would be nice to hear more about the world outside America, perhaps from people like Morriarty, but I don't think it would provided any real difference to the scenery that a change in location to soemwhere else more fitting to the game could provide. New Vegas wasn't hit by a nuke, DC was. The first couple of games covered much larger areas in much less detail so they're pretty broad in scope. I wouldn't worry about variety too much, this next game's gonna be pretty different being set on the West coast like the first two :)

Question : Games with similar tuning as NFS Underground 2?
I played NFS Underground 2 in the past on my PS2. I enjoyed the way they let players tune their cars from the variety of parts / details to custom tuning/ratios. I have a PS2 and Xbox 360 and I was wondering if there were any more modern racing games out there that had the similar game set up for players to customize their vehicles. Please don't respond unless you have an answer. It's annoying to read through posts where people just want credit for saying something that is of no help to the asker of the question.
Answer:
man, the nfs undercover is way more better than underground 2 . try it out u might also try nfs carbon . but undercover is t best.

Question : I would like suggestions on what to give to a family of 4 ( with 7yr old girl & 5 yr old boy) for Christmas.?
I am on a tight budget so I would like to get one time that would be useful for the whole family. My sister-in-law gave us a game set (variety of games in one box) last year and I don't want to give her the same thing. Also, I need ideas on what to give to my husband's parents for Christmas. Again, one present for both of them.

Question : What's the name of that 2D computer game with the battling tanks?
(NOTE: Please read all details before answering this question, as there may be many different answers. I attempted to be specific in this question.)I once played this game a few years back where the object of the game was to destroy the other tank(s) in the ever changing terrain. There was a large variety of weapons available. (Fission bombs, nuclear bombs, tar bombs, mud bombs, machine gun fire, etc.)Terrain could be changed to affect game play; as can the option of having "wind."There were also a variety of "packs" you could download to get more weapons. The game is set up 2-Dimensionally. Both tanks are visible at all times. One tank fires, then the other, and one tank wins when the other has received the maximum amount of damage. You can play the computer, or a friend (or both).I do realize that there are several games out there that have this particular setup. This specific one had a lot of detail, and, as stated before, a lot of different weapons.Any and all suggestions as to what this game may be will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I thinks its this one:http://www.addictinggames.com/tanks.html

Question : Do you think the "Christian" video game "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" was made to train kids to Kill for "God"
This heinous video game is set after "The Rapture" (a proposed future event created not from The Bible but from the musings of a 14 year old Scottish girl in the 1800s) and has people that are "left behind" with a variety of weapons and to win the game they have to kill the infidels (anyone who does not have a Evangelical "Christian" point of view) . Looks a lot like they are promoting hate and killing in "the name of god". Funny thing is it's sold in Canada and last time I checked it violates so many Canada's Hate Laws.Creators of Doom are Not telling kids to kill for Satan.... if you are gonna make that arguement then at least pick a video game from The Church of Satan.. they do have them. And no it's not my bias..... many Christian groups have condemed this game as well. It's intended to promote hate. Pointing that out or asking the opinions of others about it is not."Fight against negative spiritual influences against the Antichrist and his forces. " in this game that means anyone who doesn't share an evangelical "Christian" point of view. This question was posed to those who are not of an Evangelical "Christian" bent as I know full well who Evangelical "Christians" would response to it. This question is for those who may or may not know about the hate that is being spread by these groups to kids through such heinous tools as this video game. How is it different than a game like Doom? In Doom kids are killing Zombies on Mars. Thus killing fictional creatures. This game targets specific real groups of people. How is it different than a simulation of ancient battles? Those battles already occurs and there for if the game is done well can be a history lesson. This game is not history. It's about a future for humanity that Evangelicals are trying to force on humanity.
Answer:
ok I googled "Christian group boycotts video game left behind"and came up with a TON of hits.. yes it appears the game is directed by a certain segment of Christians who want to get everyone to HATE people of other religions... there is definately an adgenda here! and not a good one..yes I am certain the game violates hate crimes.... but because many groups are so powerful to keep things in place the game probaly wont be pulled...

Question : Which video game has the best bestiary?
I'm looking for a set of monsters with creativity and variety. For video games (mostly RPGs) that have a wide range of monsters to discover, which game has the most creative and visually stunning bestiary? (Please don't say Pokemon. I have nothing against it but I prefer answers which are close to the ranks of the Shadow Hearts Series, Persona Series, Dark Souls, Castlevania, etc.)
Answer:
Elder Scrolls Skyrim, as far as I have seen it has a lot of monsters (plus dragons) has awesome graphics and it's coming out soon (11-11-11 incase you don't know) but if you can't wait for Skyrim or don't have the money Elder Scrolls Oblivion (I'm am big fan of the Elder Scrolls series) would be a good choice

Answer:
What would have been better is for you to list what you are looking for in a game. Are you going to be doing a lot of multi-player and are you doing the family thing? Do you want games you can enjoy on your own? Is going online and meeting people a big thing for you? What are the age restrictions that you need? In general. I recommend Mario Kart. Fun for everyone, single player or multi and you can go online with it and compete with people in China or hook up with your neighbor if you wanted. For a more adult or teem male centered game, single player, lots of action, I'd go with No More Heros. For Family fun there is Raymen Rabbits, Mario Party and quite a few others. The RockBand games are also fun for a group but probably better for a little older kids, at least around 8 or so and the instruments are expensive. Not for those who can not take care of items as the drums need to be taken care of.

Question : Why is the new FALLOUT game set in Vegas?
Nice to see Bethesda has such little imagination with the location of the new fallout game. Another game featuring Vegas... boring. There was supposed to be a WORLD nuclear winter, so why are all the game set in America? Why not set it in Tokyo or Moscow or London where there are more interesting landscapes and people and things to see and do etc. The whole "america" thing gets old really quick. A bit of variety never hurt.all of ur answers are missing the point. im sick of seeing america in games, cannot they make a fallout from the chinese perspective. create a whole new fallout plot and do one in china? everything is all america, america, america. boring!
Answer:
Bethesda isn't making the game, they're just publishing it. Obsidian entertainment is developing the game. Maybe the next one will be set in another country, who knows? just quit bitching and be glad they're making another bad-ass game.

Question : What's the best video game system?
Hey guys! I'm wanting to buy a video game system but I'm undecided about the system I want to get. I like to play mostly RPG's and fantasy setting games. Which is the best system? I won't be playing it TONS, but I would like to get a system that has a good variety of games that I like. I like the interactivity of a Wii, but I like the graphics and games of the XBox360 and PS3. OK.. Now hit me with your suggestions! THANKS!I have a DS, and I like it, but I would love to have a game system that you can get into more. I've done some research and I like the games and graphics of the xbox 360, but I've also heard about the problems with them overheating and KO'ing. PS3's are cool too, and the Blu-ray would be a bonus, but it's not a deal-breaker. (I'm not going to run out to replace my dvd's with blu-ray disks). My other friends aren't into pc/console gaming as much as I am. I like pc games too, and I have a decent system. I'm a programmer/analyst so I do know my way around a pc, but at the same time, I don't want to get into changing/modifying code, b/c who wants to do that when they've been doing it all day?
Answer:
Xbox 360 is currently the best for RPG games, only because it has been out longer. The PS3 is good only if you make sure you get the system that is backward compatible with PS2 games. PS2 currently has the most RPGs, but it is an old system now. The good RPG games, such as Final Fantasy are mostly on Playstation 1 and 2, but there is supposed to be a new one out soon. For current games, the 360 has the best list and is somewhat compatible. Example of games for the 360: Fable 2, Lost Odyssy, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Assasin's Creed. You can get most of these for the PS3 as well, but Fable 2 is an Xbox exclusive and only available for computer or Xbox360.
