Question : Travel games for kids- how to pass the time in long car journeys?
My kids' ages are from 7 to 15. What are good games to play in the car whilst we're driving through France? Of course nothing too demanding for the 7 year old. Preferably requiring little or no resources, unless you've got a super fantastic idea. Many thanks.
Answer:
'I spy','spot the colour car' - pick a colour and say 'first one to spot a .....car, bus, coach, tractor etc...Make up horrible 'yuck or yum' food, I used to play this with my brothers on long journeys, we used to choose one nice food and add horrible stuff, like custard and curry, it may get a bit gruesome with the younger children adding things like bogies etc but will get them laughing! Get them singing. If your kids don't get travel sick, they could play written games like 'hang man' or do colouring. There are always travel versions of games like Ludo, snakes and ladders etc...

I live in the US and i know its hard to become proffesional but thats my dream. And im thinking of joining travel soccer but i want to know if there any scouts and games there .i 12 and i know there probably wouldnt be any scouts at games for little kids game but im going to try.so is travel good or should i just join like a u13 or u14 instrumental for every season?
Answer:
depends what level of soccer, scouts never show up to just any regular traveling games. you have to play for a team thats in the premier gold division, the best teams in your state. that way your team can participate in state cup, tons of scouts go to the state cup games because they knw there are some very good teams playing there.

We used to always play Car bingo, I bet you can find the game boards online, it's basically like bingo but instead of #'s it's types of cars- blue SUV, semi, bug etc and you try and get diagonal, hrizontal, vertical or blackout.....then my mom would give us candy or small toys as prizes.I spy is another one that's good- no props needed. Each person takes a turn and looks for something and the other people take guesses at what it is- I spy something Green.... is it a car, is it a truck, is it a sign, is it grass.... etcThe dot box game- I know they still sell pad of paper set up for this game at walmart. it's basically a grid of dots, and each person take a turn conecting one dot, and the game continues, as you close a box you put your initial in it and the person with the most boxes once all the lines are connected is the winnerThose were some of the ones we used to play...happy driving

Answer:
I would include things like crossword puzzle books (and other books like that such as word jumbles, word finds, etc.), cards, portable chess/checkers boards, and a list of word games and how to play. One example could be the "rhyming game" where one person says a word, and another says a word that rhymes with that and so on with how ever many people your playing with.

Me and my boyfriend are going on a out of town trip on a 10 hour trip. He's driving so we can't play board games. What kind of things can we do while traveling on the road for 10 hours?
Answer:
Pick a somewhat rare vehicle or a certain odd color of vehicle (yellow or orange maybe) and the first person that spots one of these and announces the fact "yellow car!" gets one point. It sounds stupid but makes time pass.

This four games are made for traveling.Hangman: To PLay: Players will take turns creating and gussing words. The non guessing player will be responsible for creating the word. To win the player that is guessing the word has to get the word before the man gets hanged.Tic-Tac-Toe: To play: One player will use the X symbol the other will use the O symbol. Players will take turns by putting their symbol in an empty space on the grid. To win the first player to fill a row with his/her symbol, either diagonally, horizontally, or vertically, wins the gamePipelines: To play: Players will take turns connecting two dots that are horizontally or vertically adjacent, and only of his/her chosen color. No lines may cross over one another. To win player to make a continuous connection from one side of the board to the other wins the game. The orange player will win if the connection is made from top to bottom. The purple player will win if the connection is made from left to right.Dots: To Plat: Players will take turns drawing one straight line, connection two dots.
