Gamestop has stopped buying PS1 games, consoles, and accessories. Unless you've got a place that does retro stuff your best option is eBay or Craigslist.

Question : Thinking about opening an rpg hobby/video game store?
So there is this cool little building in my town with a nice layout, two floors, no outstanding structural/amenity flaws, and a low priced lease. I was thinking about opening up my own Gaming Hobby Shop for people in my area, as our only options are either Wal-Mart, a Barnes and Noble, and a (ugh) Game-stop. Downstairs will have the cash register, restrooms, vending machines storage/office, all that crap and will be the shop floor.I plan to stock:Current Video Games/Consoles/AccessoriesVintage Video Games/Consoles/AccessoriesTraditional RPG stuff (books, dice, miniatures, paper, etc) <---- Huge selection hereWargames stuff (books, dice, armies, environments, templates, etc)Board GamesTrading Card GamesCandy/Junk (Pens, Skittles, Chips, Local Goodies...)Upstairs I want to have a gaming club sort of thing with free LAN and plenty of tables so people can play their RPGs and Wargames. Perhaps I can have a couple video game setups where people can bring their consoles and play games and such.I would like to hear what suggestions and ideas Yahoo! may have about the store and how I should run things. I asked this in Gaming and Local Business Categories.Since my store will be mostly a local operation, I plan to really piss off Gamestop when it comes to their bullshit about Game Trades and Sales in General.First, I will sell games at a slightly cheaper price since I am not retail.Second, here is my trade in chart as of now:New Game - 35$Newish Game - 15-20$Vintage Game - 10$ - ???Game bought from my store, with receipt and returned within two weeks - Full Monetary Return or New GameSure as h3ll beats GameStop and their 15$ crap doesn't it?

Answer:
That would be so beast i would be your #1 customer.

Question : Why does my girlfriend get pissy at me and i give her everything she wants!?
Alright heres the story...Seriously i give her all my love every single last ounce from my heart and even more.Anything she asks wants i buy it for her.Clothes, Food, games, accessories, anything she wants i would just swipe the card cha ching and she has new things.I give her all my attention, love, and im very committed to the relationship 100 percent serious about it and we got promise rings to get married. ( been a yr in the relationship)Also she says she love me ever so much, and she would be depressed if we broke up, and says were gunna get married and stuff.Im not sure if its moodswings or bipolarness but shes usually happy then all of a sudden i do something then shes mad then a few hours shes back to normal im usually like wtf.She tells me when your mad express it and im like no im not that kind of person and if i did ud get more pissy. Sometimes it just feels like shes driving us out of the relationship. And when shes mad she doesnt tell me she expresses it with a silent treatment and crap. And when im actually mad and stuff she says whats wrong, you alrightmy answer yeah why do you think im mad or annoyed?hers no just curious example we went clothes shopping or suppose to she says pick out mine and ill pick out urs>.> she picked mine few mins later i get hers then she says i dont want anything im like wtf...Then all of a sudden we get home and she uses the toliet noticing shes on her period or its starting atleast. It might be PMSing idk.i treat her like a princess queen special.she treats me like im a regular person or a friend thats really close. (even though she says your the one and your my love of my life) but she treats me like im just a friend I honestly to the point where I don’t know what she wants from me. Love, attention, money, special treament, anything you can name really I really don’t know what she wants anymore.Im not trying to buy her in anyone way I love her so much and I would die for her and get her anything she wants.Ohh yeah hears another part today she bites my neck I say that kinda hurtsShe says really finally something that hurts youIm like what?Shes like im a female and I get hurt a lot from youIm like really how so(btw in the past I was walking and holding her then a friend comes up (girl) I hug her while im holding my girlfriend also I walked another girl to her classroom and I told her she get spissy. I tell her everything and she says I smile to every girl and give them the same treatment I give herß-- im like/to my self/how do I do that if I literally give u everything clothes love money special treaments and stuff ) My respone im like I cant smile to anyone now really? (didn’t really say it shed just get pissy)Funny part id say is she doesn’t know how many times shes stabbed my heart and stuff when I try to make her the happiest possibleAlright I would rate the answers right now but yahoo isnt letting me.Well i like the idea of stop buying her stuff and man up. I guess things are gunna change hard in this relationship.she's asked me to help her when shes bitchybut then when i do she says "you cant tell me what to do"im like how can i help you if you say thatthen she has like roadrage and burst out know what your a guy its a guy thing they dont get it and like you cant help me im like why shes likeyou cantthen she forget itbtw she has horrible memory i hope she doesnt have alsheimer when shes older or how ever you spell that word>.> she forgot what i got her for valentines day

Answer:
ok first things first.....stop buying her everything and back off a little. I know you love her and eveything but it sounds like your just being the ATM/door mat.I've seen my best friend go through this (she was the needy girlfriend) and she was horrible to her man yet he gave her everything - it was quite pathetic.i know this sounds harsh but man up a little bit and make her work for stuff that she wants. women like to have a Manly man around not a sook.

Question : PS2 died ... replace or upgrade to xbox 360?
My trusty PS2 died recently (after 5 years). I'm not a huge gamer, but enjoy sports games (madden, ncaa football and other sports) as a diversion from work. I'm wondering if I should upgrade to an xbox 360 and slowly build up my library of games, or simply replace the PS2. I have a decent number of games.I'm not thinking about the PS3 because it's SO much money. I'm not eager to spend the money on the xbox 360 (and accessories and games) either, but am wondering if it's the smart move. Any thoughts?

Answer:
You should get another PS2 console, since you said you already have a collection of PS2 games. Getting an Xbox 360 and getting the games for it would be much more costly.

Question : Where can I find something I have so blindly given up?
Hi everybody. Five years ago I traded in my ps1 and all games and accessories thereof for a GBA SP. Included in the pile of games was the best of the 64-bit era: Megaman Legends 2. I gave it up without a heartbeat of regret or remorse. Five years passed, and I had pretty much forgotten it. Then one day, I was screwing around on Youtube when I stumbled upon a "let's play" of Megaman Legends 2. I watched the first part. before the first 3 minutes, the memories came flooding back in an overwhelming tide, and by the end of the first part I suddenly realized how much I missed the game I had so blindly given up.Since then, I have gotten a PS2 slim so as to be able to play it, but of course, I cannot find any trace of this game. Modern game stores do not sell such old stuff, and the one store that does (playntrade) does not have it, as it was very rare anyway. So I'm begging you to tell me how to get my hands on it. I have no credit card, so online stuff is utterly impossible. My bastard parents would die rather than raise the tip of their tails to aid me in this endeavor, so don't suggest that. A PS1 emulator and ML2 rom? Seriously, I hope you're joking. I've looked into it thoroughly, and there is UTTERLY NO SUCH THING AS A REAL WORKING PS1 EMULATOR OR ROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So please tell me where it might be possible to get my hands on this game, to undo the biggest mistake I've ever made in my entire life. I beg you.

Answer:
There is a working ps1 emulator, it's ePSXe I have it on my home computer and laptop and it runs all the Crash Bandicoot games at full speed with no problems. The other guy is right, it is kind of hard to setup and you'll not only need the emulator but you'll also need the bios and plugins in order for it to work and these can be hard to find. I've uploaded my ePSXe emulator with bios, plugins and setup instructions to sendspace and here's the link to that: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jyx29qYou'll need winrar to extract it and here's that: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/3000-2250_4-10007677.htmlJust download and install then right click the playstation.rar file you downloaded from the 1st link and go to extract to playstation and the emulator and setup instructions will be in that folder. You can get Mega Man legends 2 at rom hustler, since it's only 6 parts I'll give you the links to each part.MML2 part 1: http://romhustler.net/rom/psx/8011/megaman-legends-2-slus-01140-part-1MML2 part 2: http://romhustler.net/rom/psx/8012/megaman-legends-2-slus-01140-part-2MML2 part 3: http://romhustler.net/rom/psx/8013/megaman-legends-2-slus-01140-part-3MML2 part 4: http://romhustler.net/rom/psx/8014/megaman-legends-2-slus-01140-part-4MML2 part 5: http://romhustler.net/rom/psx/8015/megaman-legends-2-slus-01140-part-5MML2 part 6: http://romhustler.net/rom/psx/8016/megaman-legends-2-slus-01140-part-6Download all the parts and then right click any of the parts doesn't matter which one and go to extract to mega man legends 2 and the game file will be in that folder just leave it alone you need to open it with the emulator and how to do that is explained in the setup instructions that I have provided with the emulator. If the game doesn't work than it's the rom cause this emulator works perfectly on my computers but I hope it does work for you cause it's going to be hard to find ps 1 games without buying them on the internet or using an emulator. If you need any help just let me know.

Question : Gaming Rig for 2010 and my concerns.?
Okay so I got a 15K+ bonus coming in. I'm putting together a killer rig and I'm looking for other suggestions and answers to my questions. Thanks in advance.CPU: i7-980x (OC @ 4.25)Memory: Mushkin Enhanced Ridgeback 6GB (lower timings to 5-7-5-18 @ 1556Mhz)SSD: 2 Crucial C300 256GBVidCard: 2 Sapphire 5870 2GB (4GB total and clocked)Mobo: ASUS Rampage III Extreme1200 W Power SupplyKoolance liquid cooling systemMy last gaming rig was put together when dual cores first came out and the guy who put it together for me died in Afghanistan. This will be the first rig I put together myself.Questions:1. About how many years would this rig last me before I need a new one? (Being there isn't a game out there that requires even a quad core)2. Will 2 graphics cards hold up (lag free) against a high graphics demanding game if I go eyeinfinity with 3 24 inch monitors? If not how many more cards would I need?3. How long before I would need to upgrade accessories in my rig? (Graphics cards, Ram)4. Where can I improve on this rig?I'll be making a Youtube video upon completion of the rig. Thanks again.

Answer:
You must be rich. Anyway, this rig will last you 5-6 years unless you want to upgrade to future i19 at some 16 core 5ghz processor. Now onto 2...2 5870s are extremely, like seriously. EXTREMELY FAST. Yeah, 3 24 in. monitors will be alright with the 5870s.3.Unless you wanted to upgrade your computer because they're going to have awesome CPUs with like 8 cores. But yours will last for a logn time.4The only thing you need improving is maybe the RAM, you might want to upgrade to 8gb.

Question : How can I convince my parents to get me a gaming PC?
Okay, im going to tell you EVERYTHING, so only answer if you have read it all.Im 15 years old (almost 16) and am in my last year at secondary school. when i was 13 my parents got me a laptop for christmas (2009), it probally cost around £100. it was bad, really bad but i had no idea about computers then so i loved it.Around may 2010 i realized that my laptop was no good, it couldnt run without the charger and always overheated and died, so i asked for a new laptop, anything was better that what i had then. So my parents found a cheap deal (£200) and brought me a new laptop as a very early Christmas present (i didnt get much at christmas 2010) so i had my new laptop! it seemed great, it was a big upgrade from what i previously had. plus it could run some games!Christmas 2010 came and went and my laptop was doing an ok job. Then when my birthday rolled around (february 2011) i knew what i wanted to do, i wanted to learn how to develop games myself, so i wanted another laptop that could handle all that plus i wanted it to be able to play games aswell. so for my birthday i saved up £550 and purchased another laptop. this time around i knew quite alot about computers so i knew i had brought the best laptop i could buy with my £550. This laptop is the one i am currently using to type this. it hasProcessor: Intel i3RAM: 4GBGraphics card: Nvidia GeForce 310M 512mbHDD: 500GBIt took me ages to convince my parents to let me buy this laptop as i have already had 2, so i told them what i wanted to do and how my old laptop is too slow and its no good for gaming and eventually they let me get ityeah its great! i can run a most games on it now but i have to have the specs down to a minimum. and it is still working fine up to today. i can run alot of programmes i need for my game development im learning and it is a pretty powerful laptop. So here is my problem. Christmas 2011 is coming very soon and my parents keep bugging me about what i want and i honestly dont know i have everything i need, xbox, decent tv, decent laptop, all of that good stuff and the only thing that has crossed my mind is a gaming PC, now before you think anything, here me out.i have always wanted a gaming PC desktop as they are so much better and more powerful that laptops, my laptop will be great when i travel to places as it is portable but i want to experience the best of the best. if i didnt buy this laptop for my birthday then i know they would get me one for christmas but cause ive had 3 laptops in such a small space of time i dont think i have no hope.i have found a amazing gaming desktop for £530 and i want to ask my parents for it as i have no idea what else to get and this is the thing i want the most. i am also willing to pay for a monitor and accessories myself as it doesnt come with one.i have been thinking of ways to ask them to get me it but i dont think any of my ideas will work. plus i cant use the excuses like 'my old laptop is so slow and this PC is so fast' as my laptop isnt slow.i also told my parents that this laptop can run alot of games so they would let me buy it so i cant say 'my laptop is good but its no good for gaming'i have thought about mentioning the fact that im going to be going college soon to study IT and game development, or that i want to play games with maxed out settings to get the full experience. also i have thought about saying that the PC will last me years as it is upgradable so when new software comes out i can just put parts in.sorry this is so long but i really want this PC and i want to know what you guys think? what should i say? please help me :)thanks.@The Yahoo! Police:wow, if you read it you would realize that its a Christmas present? so why would i get a job to pay for my own christmas present, also im 15, im going to be going to college so im too young for a job yet -.-

Answer:
I know exactly what you need. It's brilliant, will provide most of your requirements, and should last you for years. Ready? Wait for it.....................it's called a job. Stop expecting your parents to pay for everything. Welcome to the real world.EDIT - I want! I want! I want! I had a paid job when I was 7 during my school holidays, and I've continued employment ever since. Your attitude to 'why would I get a job for my own christmas present' is, quite frankly, offensive. If you expect everything to be handed to you on a plate then I'm afraid that you are destined to be unemployable and a regular feature of the Jeremy Kyle show.

Question : Games going slooowwww......?
I have halo for my pc, i don't have a real nice one, but it's okay, it is the only game i have for the pc, and it runs fairly smoothly...until any enemy even shows up on your screen, then you cant play it at all, i just see random screen shots, and i always die. I did get game booster from advanced system care, it worked the first few times, but the game is just as slow again. are there any accessories that i can buy for my computer that will make the game run faster and smoother?

Answer:
Update your drivers, run third-party utilities such as Gamebooster (http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html), defrag your hard drive, optimize your Window's page file (http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window-on-windows/?p=2216), and - if possible - invest in new hardware (a better graphic card, more RAM, and a faster processor; in that order).Might also be helpful if you post your computer's specs.
