Questions & Answers
Question : Are there any good board games that kids geography?
Are there any good board games that kids geography?
Answer:
I'm going to second Ludo's suggestion above for the "10 Days in" series by Out of the Box Games. Aside from being well designed games with good play (which I think is critical for any education to take place), they are a good source of information on the area. Country cards include capitals, populations, and other useful tidbits of information. Game play is quick (20-30 min per game) which reduces boredom and increases fun. They are limited, in that there are only currently games for USA, Africa, Europe and Asia. Definitely give them a try. Out of the Box also produces some other quality games which might help with your other question on educational games.Happy gaming!

Question : Is it ok if you revise for exams while also playing educational games?
I mean while revising for my upcoming GCSE exams, i also play educational games such as geography games where you learn about countries and their capitals, or history games where you learn about the past kings/queens or era's etc. I mean isn't it going to take up my memory capacity that i could use for revision, and will the revision be affected at all?
Answer:

Question : Does anyone know of any good World Geography games?
I'm looking for a game to play with my 9 & 10 years olds. Does anyone know the game Travel Buff? It looks so fun, but it says it's for teens and I'm worried it'll be too hard for them. What world geography games have you played and enjoyed? There are plenty of games out there, but all without actual user reviews and I'm not sure which would be the best one. Any recommendations?I actually just bought the Great States game. RE: World Geography, the site you mentioned is the one that got me all confused. :-) They have such a large variety and didn't know which is the best world geo game.

Try a learner globe. I did a search for some on Amazon. Leapfrog has one, but I like the one from Vtech for a four year old (and it's a lot cheaper).http://www.amazon.com/VTech-80-65200-Vtech-Learn-Globe/dp/B0007WX0L2/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s= toys-and-games&qid=1238794813&sr=1-10But you can shop around yourself.
