Question : Backgammon?
Does anyone know of a program/application that allows you to play backgammon OFFLINE WITH MULTIPLAYERS? I know Maxgammon does, but its a trial version and allows only 1 hour of game play. Are there any free downloadable programs?Jaden - You are so dumb!!!! I specifically said OFFLINE in CAPS!Candee - That was another trial version. Thanks but I want something thats not a trial version. Would you have a serial / crack to go with it?

Answer:

Question : when is it appropriate to resign in backgammon in a 7 point match?
In a recent 7 point match game, the score was 1 to 6, my favor. When the next game appeared to be lost, my opponent resigned, thus giving the match to me.I suggested that he resigned because of his frustration and his ability to come from behind. Because backgammon is a game of reversals, it was entirely possible he might have won, but by resigning, it gave me a 'hollow' victory and a somewhat unsatisfying feeling of winning the match.

Answer:
It is never correct to resign in backgammon due to the match score, but might be correct to resign due to a totally lost board position.

Question : Anyone familiar with the rules of Backgammon?
I recently got an electronic handheld backgammon game. I don't know if there's a glitch in the programming or some rule I'm unaware of, though. Occasionally, under certain circumstances, when the computer takes its turn, it moves one of its 2 checkers from my inner home spot to a row that I've blocked off with my checkers. My top checker in the row goes on the bar and the remainder of the checkers in that row change color to the computer's color. Is there a rule here that I don't know about? If so, how does it work? I'd like to use it, too.

Answer:
the opponent can move his checker on the spot where you have yours if there is only one checker there. then yours will go on the bar and you have to roll the dice and have that checker start from the beginning. *note, if you roll your dice and you can't place it because all other spots are blocked (have two or more checkers) then you loose your turn and have to wait until you can roll the number you need.
