Editorial Review :

This edition of the classic word-association game is made especially for kids. The object is still to get your partner to guess the word, but in this version, you're allowed to also use pantomime. This game is recommended by the National Association for Gifted Children because it helps to expand kids' vocabularies. Includes 25 clue strips (with 20 words on each), two word decoders, spinner and instructions. For 3 or more players.

Questions & Answers
Question : What are some good language/word games?
I don't mean stuff that you play in a classroom, I'm looking for some games that revolve around words and language - in the vein of Scattergories, Catch Phrase, Scrabble, UpWords, and stuff like that. What are some other board games - especially simple ones (like those I just named) - that center around words and language?(I'm hosting a party for people who are all mostly English teachers/tutors/majors)

Answer:
Balderdash, Taboo, and depending on the type of crowd you have.. Dirty Minds.

What other games are things a 4-5 year old would be able to play. He is reading, so games with words are ok, too......................

Question : What are some good two person "games"?
What are some good two person "games" to play with my boyfriend when we're indoors winding down at night? It can be an actual physical game (like Risk), a word game (like Hangman), or just a kid's game to pass the time that doesn't involve writing anything down. For example, we spend a lot of time asking each other "Would you Rather...?" type questions. We're not too big on card games or online games. Any ideas? Especially something kind of intimate would be nice :). We've had trouble finding actual board games that are any fun with only two people.

Question : What are interesting educational word or english games that are not board or card games?
Games help students learn but board games and card games are not allowed in our work place. What games don't require a board aside from contests, tic, tac toe, etc.?

Answer:
One of my favorite, most successful educational games is "(English) Baseball". It can be adapted to most any subject. It is played along the rules of regular baseball, two teams, etc. It is a good review, practice or culminating activity. The teacher can be the pitcher for both teams by asking questions. It is best [for individual differences and to make the game more interesting] to have a set of prepared questions developed from your lessons from easy (1 base) to difficult (home run) questions. Filling in blank or multiple choice is usually easier than giving a three-part answer. You can even have your students create the Q/A. It takes some time to play, but you can play 1 inning a day, for example. Remember to set a time limit (15 sec) to answer: use a student timer and score keeper. Students enjoy being able to actually move around the room from "base" to "base" .
