Questions & Answers
Question : What educational games do you play with your child?
Playing games with your kids is one of the best ways to improve learning skills. Whether it’s logic games or board games, which educational games do you play with your child to make learning fun?

Answer:
Grand Theft Auto IV or Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

Question : What are the most educational games for a 3 year old?
Also, what are the funnest board games and/or toys for a 3 year old? I wanted to buy my little girl some news toys and games. I am looking for input on what your toddler thought was the most fun and what you thought was the most educational.

Answer:
Just about everything. I allow my one and two year old to "help" me with the housework and then I tell them the names of things. I made a list of five minute activities for busy days, containing simple activities like: throwing and catching a ball, singing and dancing to a nursery rhyme.I looove this channel from youtube: EC0urbanGeNiUs713which tells you how to make flashcards, which really work trust me :)There is also the site Brillkids and Brillbaby, with a forum, but I think that is for people with a bigger wallet (containing Your Baby Can Read-stuff) :PThen finally, if possible or if you have a satellite: cbeebies. The channel from bbc for children aged 0-7. My favourite show: show me show me, featuring two words each episode and focused on playing and being creative (avoiding to spend it all on toys haha). I also like their show Let's get squiggling, which teaches kids (and parents, I suppose) how to draw. They have a nice site with lots of things also a grownup part for the parents. I hope some of this can be useful to you, enjoy!

Question : how many of you play educational board games? How do you feel about these compared to computer games?
would you rather play one or the other? if you do like the board game variety better do you have a difficult time finding a good selection? I am only interested in unique, hard to find games that actually teach subjects in school or about life in general. unique strategy games that corrolate with history or let the player use the mind first and foremost is OK, too. games such as Monopoly and scrabble do not apply. some luck oriented games are OK if they are different and unique.http://www.djoyner.com

Answer:
I prefer board games to computer games.I have variety of educational board games for all levels with having to rely on the mass market boardgames. I do not have trouble because of Boardgamegeeks, National Board Game Week ( The forth week of November), and several publications (I really don't have them with me right now) that list the level, age group, subject matter (math, science, history, geography, etc.. )For myself, ALL boardgames are hard to find.

Answer:
What are you meaning by "educational"? I can think of a whole bunch at Wal*Mart that are educational. Here is a list. Not sure of age so bear with me.1. Monopoly2. HI HO Cherri-O3 Memory4 Guess Who5 Clue6 The Game of Life7 Bingo8 Checkers9 Chess10 Mouse TrapThere are ten games that have some sort of educational value. Just check them out!!!

Question : What are some good educational games (board games, etc)for teenagers.?
I'm a speech therapist and looking for some games to increase reading comprehension and verbal expression. Thank you.

Answer:
Along with Robin's recommendation (an excellent one), a similar story-telling style game would be Atlas Games'"Once upon a time."http://www.atlas-games.com/onceuponatime/Players get a hand of cards with common themes, characters, etc from fairy tales. The game starts, surprisingly enough, with "Once upon a time..." Players then generate a story, attempting to incorporate the component cards in their hand. Get too creative, though, say incorporating a woodsman to kill the wolf you played, and not having a woodsman card, another player who does can play theirs and take over the story. Plays well across a variety of ages, and rewards creativity as well as verbal expression and vocabulary building. Not much reading comprehension aspect to it.Happy teaching!

Question : What are Some Educational Board games to make for sixth graders?
I have to do this project where I have to make an educational board game for sith graders. But I need ideas.

Answer:
You could always make a Jeopardy-style game. They're a little ebit old for matching games, so maybe you could try a Bingo game of sorts?
