Question : Would a board game w/no electronics, but with action and moving parts, be accepted & played by families today?
With so many 'gadgets and gizmos', (which by the way I think are awesome just like everyone else), infiltrating everything we work and play with; I started thinking of a game(s) that had ACTION but absolutly NO ELECTRONICS to them. I wondered if we have gotten so use to this whole "ELECTRONICS IN GAMES IDEA", if a game WAS invented WITHOUT all the noises & buzzings, tweaks & twinkles, power cords & cartidges......WOULD A BOARD GAME OF THIS NATURE BE ACCEPTED AND PLAYED. I know there are many non-electronic games, (and gamers), out there, but very few are thought much about because they aren't part of the "advertising blitz" electronic games get.I'm thinking I've got the next board game that'll stand the 'game world' on it's head, (along with 1000 other inventors).It is a game that would bring friends & families or whomever, to play together instead of something you're playing by yourself, even "IF" it is "AGAINST SOMEONE ELSE.So......what do "YOU THINK"?

Hey trivia (like trivia pursuit) is played in bars and homes... No need for electronics in asking and answering questions. And there' a lot of action when people think they are right and the mediator or game is wrong with it's answers..... I mean people get way to into it..... And NOTHING beats table top RPGing.... D&D, White Wolf (World of Darkness), and Battle Tech (which they came out with those little 5 inch tall minatures with the dials for quick reference; and absolutely no electronics, which are big amongst kids today.....just like collectible trading card games)

Question : Any info on the Wii Intec Action Board for Wii fit and other compatible games?
I've been doing a little research on this board but can't seem to find a whole lot about it. A friend of my wife purchased Wii Fit with the game only not realizing she needed the board. She went on ahead and got Wii Fit with the board later. My wife really enjoyed it so when i figured I could purchase the board separately, her friend gave us her copy. I've been looking around on ebay and other sites trying to find a good deal. I would rather have the retail board but it seems most of the websites that have good deals on it all seem to be out of stock. I found the Intec board on ebay for $70 which is the best price I've seen so far but the only reviews I have seen for it have been on Wal-marts website. The reviews are not to good and it seems the reason is due to people not being able to connect it to the wii. I highly doubt they would make a board that is unusable so Im sure it can be done. So far I can't find any info on the actual quality of the board. Is there anyone who has purchased the board and if so, how did it fare? I know folks would probably say to just spend the extra bit and get the real deal but in this economy, when your the only provider in your household for a family of three, you gotta cut what you can here and there.

Its a very interesting highly strategic tactical game thats already been invented by a mathematical genius several decades ago. Why hasnt this game gained any popularity, been added to board game sites such as Yahoo Games or played by more people like checkers, chess, backgammon and reversi? What do you think of this game? Does it deserve more credit?The object of the game is to create an army by having all your pieces connected to each other. Theres blocking and capturing and all kinds of intricate thinking. Its so complicated but yet so simple where all your peices are the same.

There are so many that it cannot be listed. My advice if you're actually interested in finding and playing one is: 1. are you going to pay for it? or are you looking for a free game? 2. what are your computer specs? this will tell you/us what kind of games you will be playing based on how powerful your PC is (graphics card/processor/memory) and 3. are you looking to play online? or single player. after you figure those out just find a game that's interested with a high review rating and start playin it, as long as your PC can handle it.
