Question : Has anyone got a reborn toddler doll for sale?
It is my friends birthday real soon, and i was wondering if anyone was selling a reborn toddler doll, i realise that ebay is the best place to go, just dont have an account at the momment

Answer:
You can usually pick them up from local art and craft fayres, but the quality is sometimes a bit hit and miss - find out if you have any near you, its worth popping along. If not, then ebay is the best place to get them from, with some quality artists too.... its quick and easy to sign up, so i would suggest you do so if possible.Take a look at http://www.allreborndolls.com for more information.

Question : Toddler Barbie dolls?
Do they exist any more, I can't find them (I'm looking online). My daughter has a huge collection of barbies but they have to pretend that bigger dolls are their babies!

Answer:
They sell them at toys r us, you just have to go to the store and into the barbie section, I see them all the time, some come with high chairs or wagons or dogs, they're a lot smaller than the bigger barbies, I don't know if they're called toddler barbies though. But they do sell them at toys r us, that's the only place I've seen them. Hope this helps.

Question : Is it a duty of a mother to play with dolls with her toddler girl?
Is it a duty of a mother to play with dolls with her toddler girl?

Answer:
I'm afraid so. If you decide to have children, you have a responsibility to entertain them. If the little girl wants to play with dolls, the mother has to grit her teeth and pretend she's having a great time. You can't really expect a toddler to choose an activity that the mother finds fascinating, after all.

Question : do you let your toddler play with bratz and dolls?
So I have noticed how much more sleezy looking the barbies and dolls have been getting over the years, I haven't bought my 3 year old daughter one doll, no barbie, no bratz, none of that crap because some of the things they are wearing are things I would were to a club or rave, they wear more make-up then I do and big heels, what kind of example is that for a young girl? there is enough bullsh** out there to influence them to make changes to their body, wear sleezy outfits and make-up by age 13, now barbies...seriously...does anyone else feel the same way?

Answer:
They have always been like that. There have always been some that look inappropriate and some that don't.

Question : Do you let your toddler/preschool son play with dolls?
I am a 31 year old mother to three children, ages 3 1/2, 2 1/2, and 9 months. Lately my 3 1/2 year old has been into playing with my 2 1/2 year old daughters cabbage patch kid. I have NO PROBLEM with this at all. I think it sparks his imagination, creates sensitivity, and is perfectly appropriate for his age. This is not my issue personally. It's my mother-in-laws. Today, I mistakenly brought up the subject during a conversation and she said "why do you let him play with dolls, when he has all those trucks, trains, and tracks to play with?" I said that I was ok with it. And she said that her boys never played with dolls, that they played with cars and never wanted to play with thier sister's dolls. Then she said "Don't you think that it looks gay for a little boy to have a doll?". I said "are you saying my 3 year old is gay"? And it escalated into a verbal confrontation. This has happened to between us with other issues in the past. The whole "back and forth" exchange was not good...I was at my breaking point and demanded that my husband take myself and our children home. She all but accuses me of being a bad mother and she is so passive aggressive, that she can't come out and just say what she wants to say. I hate it!!! It's so frustrating!!! So...do you let your little boy play with dolls?

Answer:
We don't own any dolls persay...we have 2 boys. But they do have stuffed animals that they love. My oldest (he's almost 4) has Sheepie, that is a female sheep that he is so gentle with. I don't have a problem if he does play with dolls. He plays with them at his friends' houses, and in our church nursery which I think is totally fine. He was more into picking up a doll when we first had our 2nd baby...wanting his own baby to take care of. The head of the daycare that he used to go to said she noticed a huge difference between when the boys were 3 to 4. At 2 & 3 it didn't matter which kind of dress up clothes they wore and which toys they played with...at 4-5 that totally changed and they began playing more traditional gender based (not encouraged, just something that happened). I also remember my aunt talking about her grandson who had a doll to cuddle at night, saying he was starting early having a woman beside him :). (He was 2 at the time...he's now 13 and very much into girls)I do think that there is a larger underlying problem here that isn't at all about dolls, but rather between you and your m-in-l. She seems to have very definate ideas about what is and isn't okay for kids that are different than your own. I just want to encourage you that these are your kids and you are making your best decisions raising them. You probably aren't going to change her mind about her opinions but if there is a way that you can take in her ideas, not accepting them, but just listening to her (and venting later to your husband if neccessary) as a way to make peace. She may be more apt to listen to you, if you listen to her too. There has to be some common ground somewhere...after all she did raise your husband. You don't have to be like her, and you can do what you like with her words, still trusting that you are the parent of these kids and you know in your heart what is best for them. I hope that makes sense to you and helps somewhat. Cheers!

Question : Does your toddler name all his/her dolls or stuffed animals the same thing?
Every time we ask our daughter what her baby's name is (and she has at least 5), she tells us her dad's name. She understands the question. She just names them all that. lol. Does your child do that? How old is s/he?

Answer:
Until around two all of my son's stuffed animals (and a few of his other toys) were called "monkey." Not sure how old your child is, but when I talked to a few of my friends with children about they had had similar experiences. I think its pretty normal until around two.

Question : Where can I find custom-made baby boy dolls?
I am ordering my daughter a My Twinn customized doll, and since my 2 year-old son always wants everything she has, I'd like to get him one as well. My Twinn has discontinued their toddler dolls and I can't afford an actual customized doll for him. Does anyone know of any doll companies that can either customize dolls or have a wide variety of doll types (skin, eyes, hair, etc.), FOR BOYS? (I'm looking for one with golden brown hair, green/hazel eyes and fair skin, but I do NOT want to get him a Cabbage Patch one or something from Walmart.) Any info would be much appreciated :)
