Questions & Answers
Question : Anyone ever heard of "Vogue Mode Girls" Fashion dolls?
Last night at a party, (it was a party for a baby) and at the end we all got goody bags. In the goody bags for girls was a "Vogue Mode Girls" fashion doll. I was just wondering if anyone else has some and knows where I can find more? I've looked online and I can't find anything.
Answer:
There are no results for it on Google. Look on the package and try googling the name of the distributor or manufacturer. It's probably still available under a different name.

Question : Do High School Musical fashion dolls share a size with Barbie's friend Skipper?
I'm looking for extra sets of clothing for my daughter's Gabriella and Troy dolls but they're not regular Barbie sized, and I can't find clothes specific to HSM. The girl dolls look to be the same size as Skipper, roughly, but what about the boy clothes? Anywhere online I can buy clothes without dolls?
Answer:
Well the dolls come with another pair of clothes. For instance, The hsm2 doll gabriella has her last day of school outfit and her lifeguard outfit.

Question : Book about German Fashion Dolls from the 1950's?
Bild Lilli Fashions & Dolls
Answer:
Reinhard Beuthien was ordered to make a "filler" to conceal a blank space in the Bild-Zeitung of June 24, 1952. He drew a cute baby, but his boss didn't like it. So he kept the face, added a ponytail and a curvy woman's body and called his creation "Lilli". She sat in a fortune-teller's tent asking: "Can't you tell me the name and address of this rich and handsome man?" The cartoon was an immediate success so Beuthien had to draw new ones each day.Lilli was post-war, sassy and ambitious and had no reservations talking about sex. As she had her own job she earned her own money as a secretary but wasn't above hanging out with rich men ("I could do without balding old men but my budget couldn't!"). The cartoon always consisted of a picture of Lilli talking to girlfriends, boyfriends, her boss ("As you were angry when I was late this morning I will leave the office at five p.m. sharp!"). The quips underneath the cartoons handled topics ranging from fashion (to a policeman who told her that two-piece-swimsuits are banned: "Which piece do you want me to take off?"), politics ("Of course I'm interested in politics; no one should ignore the way some politicians dress!") and even the beauty of nature ("The sunrise is so beautiful that I always stay late at the nightclub to see it!"). The last Lilli cartoon appeared on January 5, 1961.

Question : reborn dolls and fashion doll repaints getting customers and your name known?
What is the average time of getting customers and getting your name known for repainting fashion dolls and reborning baby dolls? your honest opinions please
Answer:
All you have to do is go on Ebay or launch a website. A website is cheaper but a little slower at first. Be prepared with lots of customer testimonials and top notch photos. If you have both of those, you'll be known in 3 months. If you don't have testimonials yet, show your dolls to firends and ask them to write comments about them. Use their comments as testimonials. Here is an example of what testimonials might look like: http://www.reborn-baby.com/reborn-testimonials.html.

Question : Can you resize a regular sewing pattern for 11 1/2 inch fashion dolls?
I have purchased some regular clothing patterns(for an adult woman), but I'd like to resize the pattern for Barbie dolls and the like.I have seven dolls, and I'd like to make custom outfits for them rather than buying doll clothes. While I also have an 11 1/2 doll clothes pattern set, I had really liked the styles in the "real" clothes patterns. Please advise. Thanks.ACSound
Answer:
You could try, but I am afraid it will be time consuming and you may not get the desired result. If your heart is set on it you might try reducing just one piece to see how it goes. You can visit any copy store and use the reduce function on the machine. You will have to reduce it a lot to make it small enough for the doll.If that does not work you can buy doll patterns athttp://www.sewfunpatterns.com
