Question : looking for a dollhouse for polly pocket dolls Any ideas?
I need a dollhouse for polly pocket for my granddaughter. I don't want the ones made for them that are separate units that pile together. They seem to come apart and tip over. If not one made for this doll, then maybe one that may be comparable.

Answer:
Check out the consignment stores in your area and the Goodwill and Salvation Army store. While searching these stores recently I Did notice a couple of those doll houses.

Question : What was this tv show or movie about a family that turned out to be dolls in a dollhouse?
I know I watched it when I was a kid. The details are hazy but I remember that there was a family and it was strange but all their things had the same brand (I'm not sure but I keep remembering a blue target sign and a lightning bolt). Their house kept flooding but they didn't know why. In the end, it was revealed that they were dolls and they lived in a dollhouse. Please help me remember.

Answer:
Hammer House of Mystery & Suspense (TV series)"Child's Play"TV.com synopsis:First aired: 5/2/1986 A family wakes up one morning and discovers that they are trapped in their home by a mysterious and unbreakable brick wall, and their water and telephone have been cut off. An intense heat comes over the house as well. The TV reception has been replaced by some sort of emergency signal for which the symbol is a lightning bolt (which is also the symbol on all their clothes and food products as well as their car). They begin losing feeling in their bodies and losing their memories as well. Soon enough, they cannot remember any life at all outside the house. All this time, a green blob has been forming in another room, slowly stalking the family.Writer: Graham Wassell Director: Val Guest Guest star: Mary Crosby (Ann Preston), Nicholas Clay (Mike Preston), Debbie Chasan (Sarah Preston), Suzanne Church (Mother), Joanna Joseph (Daughter)From IMDB review:***SPOILERS*** A family awakens to find themselves trapped in their own home, all windows and doors sealed by impenetrable walls. Now they are faced with a bitter sequence of paranormal events forces that have taken over their lives. A once peaceful family has become mere toy puppets for a race of alien children and victims of a twisted "child's play". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I actually saw this episode, but I don't recall what it was on. At IMDB's forum, someone said that it ran on the Fox Channel. I got in on it late and was fascinated by it! I also saw an episode very much like it on an anthology series but can't find the name of it. I just know it was a remake of the British one.

Question : Do the Japanese toy makers produce a dollhouse for fashion dolls?
Just wanted to know..

Answer:
I seen one doll case in the "Licca" style once on ebay.I know there is also furniture called "Gloria" that is sized for fashion dolls. It has to be an import because I know that Mattel would have a fit if they saw the "Gloria Happy Hour Playset". I just don't know if its Japanese.I myself make my own from plastic canvas, dollhouses too.

Question : Do you know which book about living dolls this is?
This book i remember fondly but vaguely. I believe this all happened in it. There is a dollhouse where multiple dolls live... the dolls are, as stated, alive and one tries to go to the attic... the other dolls try to persuade the doll to stay but the doll does not listen. I seem to remember that if their seen moving something happens to where they're no longer living... i believe it was a dark tale, and i don't remember anything about how long it was. any help is helpful! :)

Answer:
Behind the Attic Wall by Sylvia Cassedy?

My girls have lost the baby girl somewhere. Ebay has some, but I'm just wondering if I can get her somewhere else. Also, I think it'd be fun to get them some of the rooms that we don't have, but they don't sell them (apparently) anymore. Do they come out with new stuff every few years?

Question : Looking for the title of the book about a girl that is given a dollhouse and the dolls inside...?
...come to life and are evil.If I remember correctly, the girls parents buy her this dollhouse at a garage sale and she thinks that it and the dolls inside are old and creepy and doesn't want to play with them. The dolls are porcelin and are cracking and somehow they get offended that the girl won't play with them. I believe the dolls had the ability to come life and possibly turn the girl into a doll as well. I read this book in the mid-90's I'd say. I remember it having a couple pictures throughout of the dolls and the artwork was creepy, the dolls had very large eyes. I want to say it was a man that wrote the book, but I could be wrong. It sounds like I am making this up, but I assure you that I'm not.

Answer:
I know you’re not making this up! I think I’ve at least seen (if not read) this book, probably late ‘80s/early ‘90s, but can’t remember any more than you. In my searching, I came across at least four books with this plot-- the haunted dollhouse/creepy doll thing is popular in young adult lit.None of these struck me as right, but the most likely one seems to be Among the Dolls by William Sleator (click the title to see the original cover). It was originally published in 1975 and has been reprinted several times since then, most recently with by Scholastic/Starscape with new cover art. Here’s the description from the back of the book:"When her parents give her a gloomy old dollhouse for her birthday instead of the ten speed bike she’s expecting, Vicky is disappointed. But she soon becomes fascinated by the small shadowy world and its inhabitants. The hours she spends playing with the dolls is a good way to escape from her parents’ arguments. As Vicky’s life becomes more troubled, she starts to take out her frustration on the dolls, making their lives as unhappy as hers. Then one day, Vicky wakes up inside the dollhouse, trapped among the monsters she’s created. Bewildered, Vicky is sure she’s dreaming. Can she find her way out of this nightmare world?"Other possibilities (based on their plot and date of publication) include the following. I’ve mentioned whether they’ve been reprinted because sometimes an older book will be reprinted with new cover art and/or illustrations. Use the Amazon.com links below under "Recommendations" to see plot information.Rumer Godden. The Doll’s House. (1962; widely reprinted since then.)Betty Ren Wright. The Dollhouse Murders. (1983; reprinted since then.)Reby Edmond MacDonald. The Ghosts of Austwick Manor. (1983; reprinted in 1991.)Hope this helps!

Question : Dollhouse movie with killer dolls?
I'm trying to find the name of this movie for my friend. They've seen it, but I havn't. I guess its old and lowbudget. But its about a dollhouse five dolls.Their dolls are blank, but they match the heights of the family of five who moved into the completly empty house excluding the hidden dollhouse. The little girl finds it.As this house gets furniture and such, the dollhouse starts to get furniture and start dressing like the family living in the house. And the little girls sees the dolls doing thing, like the dad killed the mom(?) with an axe. That happened shortly afterwards.(I guess the dolls do whats gonna happen?)But the little girl was the last to die, and she hung herself.I believe they said it shows like three for four families, but the last familey burnt the dollhouse, thus burning down the entire house.Thats all I know about it,but if you could tell me the name of it, I would amazingly appreciate it :)

Answer:
I think that is "Amityville: Dollhouse"http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115535/"A dollhouse that is a replica of the infamous Amityville haunted house is given to a little girl. Soon after, all sorts of horrible unexplained accidents start to happen. The family must work together to fight off the terrifying evil that has inhabited their lives."Trailer:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhL4FCW4e3Q

Question : Does this dollhouse have dolls that are made to go with it? I can't seem to find any at Target!?
I didn't see any for sale at Target with the dollhouse, and I'm not even sure what size doll I'd be looking for. Any suggestions? The Play Wonder Dollhouse at Target is the one I'm referring to

Answer:
The KidKraft Play Wonder Dollhouse is recommended for dolls up to 11.5" tall. This means that you can use any dolls that are 11.5" tall or shorter with the house. Generally, the Play Wonder Dollhouse is bought to be used in conjunction with Barbie sized fashion dolls, all though smaller dolls would also work well with it. The doll house is made by KidKraft and I know that you can find more information about where to buy accessories for their products on their web site at: www.kidkraft.com
