Questions & Answers
Question : Why are all the baby dolls out there mostly WHITE?
I wanted to buy my daughter a baby doll but almost all of the baby dolls I find at the store is mostly white or sometimes black. My daughter is half italian and filipino and I really don`t like the fact america only makes white or black dolls. What do you think about this?
Answer:
Because the majority of the U.S is white.

Question : What are the most realistic baby dolls I could get that aren't overpriced?
I am pregnant with my third child and would like to get my girls baby dolls for a special present when the baby comes. I would like it to be realistic-ish in size and everything. Thinking about buying real newborn or preemie clothes for them too. I am not going to buy reborn baby dolls. They are very expensive and my girls will not take care of them properly. Just looking for a baby doll that real baby clothes/diapers might fit.
Answer:
here are a couple I foundhttp://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3388690http://www.toysrus.com/product/index. jsp?productId=3416290http://www.dollslikeme.com/store/p/2245-Anatomically-Correct-Life-Like-Baby-22- .html?feed=froogleThe last one is anotomically correct and weighted dolls.I think this is a great idea! If you gave it to them a little before, you could use it as a teaching tool for how to interact with the new sibling and then maybe when baby actually arrives you give them a special outfit each. Very cool idea =]

Question : How old were you when you quit playing with barbies and baby dolls?

My 18 month old daughter has a facination with putting diapers on her toys, I know when I was a child I had a doll that fit in baby clothes. Every doll I'm finding is like $50+ and I refuse to pay that for a doll that she's just going to drag around and get dirty. Any ideas?
Answer:

Question : How to clean plastic baby dolls?
I have some plastic baby dolls some, have the cloth body. What is the best method to clean these? Hand wash, washer machine, bleach water. This is for a daycare.
Answer:
I wash all my kids dolls in the washer. I fill it with some hot water, add a scoop of baking soda, some vinegar and they come out nice. I also hang the cloth bodied dolls to dry as opposed to the dryer. =)

Question : Could there be a market for cloth baby dolls/rag dolls?
I'm looking for something that I can do from home for a little extra pocket money. My idea is to create rag doll type baby dolls. with soft cloth bodies that can fit into real newborn or preemie sized baby clothes. If nothing else, just because I enjoy these type pf projects, I want to at least try making them as gifts. If I found a way to sell them that would be a bonus. Do you think there's a chance it could make any money?
Answer:
There is always that chance that you will do well with this idea of yours. Don't expect much in the beginning. Do like you said and make them for gifts, etc. If you want to launch out and try some on ebay....that might be a good way to get your feet wet...so to speak.

Question : Why are the baby dolls at Walmart priced differently, based on the skin color of the doll?
I was doing Christmas shopping and noticed all the colored dolls were priced cheaper than the caucasian baby dolls, even though it was the same exact doll(different skin color, though).
Answer:
People buy more caucasian dolls, and that drives up their price. It's the consumers that are being racist, not Wall-Mart.
