Cute tea set for babies
Received this as a gift and my little girl started playing with it at 4 months. She loves it and is one of her favorite things to play with. She prefers banging the tea cups on the floor than the actual tea pot...

A Very Sweet Tea Set!
I bought this teapot for my daughter for Christmas when she was 10 months old. She liked it then, but she loves it now that she is 18 months. She loves the noises it makes and the songs. She is always pretending to drink out of the cups and eat the little cakes. This is very durable. She has dropped it on hardwood floors and even concrete many times and it hasn't even cracked.

So fantastic
I bought this toy for my eight month old daughter and my 5 and 4 year old sons have just as much fun with it as she does... Literally hours of entertainment and fantastic for imaginative cooperative play.. Gets more use than almost any other toy we own!

Too cute to pass up
I bought this for my one year old granddaughter because it was the only appropriate tea set for her age. The "thank you" from her mother was polite, but not enthusiastic. "She'll grow into it." and "She wanted water to come out of it."
My daughter-in-law was absolutely right. Three months later, I received a phone call that thrilled me. Seems a one year old is a bit too young for this set, but still worth purchasing at this age. And, the no water part works out for the best. No mess. Just pretend.
At fifteen months she adores the songs and especially the "please" and "thank you." The best part? She placed all the "goodies" in the correct places, then carefully carried the plate over to serve her aunt. (Not an easy feat when her best friend is a 120 lb. dog.)
It's difficult to purchase a toy for a grandchild who lives in another state. I guess I researched this product well and was rewarded with the glowing report from her mom.

She loves it!
My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday from her aunt. It took maybe a few months for her to really get into playing with it, but now she is almost 3 and it's one of her favorite toys. We love pretending to share the little cakes and she loves pouring tea for me and Daddy. So cute! And it also teaches nice manners, which is a plus. Many toys have come and gone since she got this, but this one has endured. It also matches her pink & purple kitchen.

Affordable Barbie House
We bought this for our 4-year-old's birthday a week ago. It wasn't hard to set-up, and although it isn't as durable as the larger Barbie homes (the upstairs room is not well supported on one side,) it really is a nice small house that our girls can move from room to room, as well as fold-up for storage (yes, it does take a little work to close it up but not that hard.)
Rating :
Fun for the price and size
I purchased this, much cheaper at a store, for my daughter's fourth birthday. I wanted to get her a barbie house but didn't want to spend the money nor was I confident that it would be a hit with my daughter since she showed very little interest in barbies. Since receiving it, she has played with it non stop and all the barbies that had been previously collecting dust are being played with regularly. When it folds out, it provides plenty of room for play while still being able to condense nicely and not take up too much room in the closet. It has plenty of accessories, all provided with the play set and my daughter has little problems with setting it up and putting it away by herself. We did store the large accessories separately in a tub, it seemed like too much of a hassle to try to fit it all inside the house. All in all, I am thrilled with the purchase and am happy.

My 3 year old glam girl loves this
My 3 year old loves this and while it is not the sturdiest toy it can easily withstand her playing with it. It comes with a lot of furniture and accessories for the price. It is fairly easy for a parent to fold it up and take it along to play somewhere. She could definitely not do that herself.

Barbie Vacation House
Our two granddaughters loved this house! It is fairly easy to assemble, though our 8 year old needed some help. The parts are pretty sturdy and multifunctional. This is worth the expense for the enjoyment of our granddaughters, nieces and friends kids who came over; it was popular. Not recommended for under 4 years of age. The three year old loved to take it apart!

A favorite
I bought two of these. One for my dd6 and one for the 4 yr old daughter of a friend. The girls love them. It's not as large as the motorized one , the dolls need to be forced in a little but the girls love them!

Barbie Glam Convertible
Pretty cute car, easy to use for the 8 and 3 year old. Only one problem, no one could attach the side mirrors that needed to be assembled after opening the box.
Rating :
Cool Car!
My eight-year-old daughter got this for Christmas and she loves it. The zebra seats are a very cool pattern and she was able to put the stickers on the car all by herself. It of course is pink-what would Barbie be without her pink cars, lol? I do like the bigger wheels they make the car very sturdy and it rolls smoothly. The steering wheel moves, as does the review mirror and it does have seatbelts. The only thing I don't like about this car is that the side mirrors come off-you can literally pull them right out of the side of the car! I am probably going to superglue them in so they do not get lost, in fact I am doing that as I write this review. Good car, great buy, although I agree with the other reviewer, as we only paid 13 dollars for this.

Barbie Glam Convertible
My oldest Granddaughter wanted the car to go with her pool and house that she recieved for her birthday, however I bought 2 because the youngest would want to play with it as well and this would stop a fight. They both have hours of fun playing with all their toys.

Great toy
Great toy for your girlie girl. It looks like you spent a lot of money. I would not purchase for a small child. It comes with lots of small pieces.

Total DREAM house
This was my granddaughter's gift for her 5th birthday. She has played with it and enjoyed it every single day. She has not gotten tired of it at all. She uses the elevator continually and loves all the extras too. It is the perfect size for her room and everything works perfectly. I would absolutely purchase this Dream Townhouse again!
Rating :
Very Happy Daughter!
This Barbie House is adorable. When I first saw it online, I knew my 6 year old daughter would love it for her birthday.
Like others have said, it did arrive in the original box with a full color photo on the front, so I made sure she wasn't home when it was delivered.
Putting it together was very easy. I don't know why others had so much trouble. Everything fit together like it was supposed to, and all electronics work wonderfully. If you look at the pieces and how they fit together, it really is not as difficult as others made it out to be.
The Barbie Bed is hard, there is no soft mattress to go on it, but I made a "mattress" for it, so it would be soft and squishy. The string for the elevator might not last as long as the actual house, but I'm sure there is a way to make the elevator work with a different piece of string.
My daughter has taken very good care of it so far, and keeps it very organized. I think the part she likes best, is arranging the furniture to her taste.
Overall, great deal, with everything that came with it, it was totally worth it.

Advise from mom - check the electronics work before you assemble
My daughter loves this toy and I even put it together by myself in one evening. Only problem is the chandelier doesn't light up at all and the fireplace is so pulled out from the wall that you really have to push the button in hard to get it to light up or make sound. I am very disaappointed but haven't called Amazon yet. My husband is going to take a look and see if he can get it to work but my advise is check before you assemble so you can report any problems right away and get all your money's worth!!
Rating :
barbie dream house is a dream come true
my daughter just got this for her 6th bday and loves it. it is easy for her to play with with and easy for her to move he elevator up and down. my husband had no problems putting it together.

Ice Water . . .REALLY??
I am just wondering why . . .with all the technology we have . . .could this doll have been made to change colors with anything but ICE water?!?! I got this doll for my little girls' 5th birthday. This is the only thing she wanted for her birthday and has asked me for it almost everyday. It came in the mail yesterday and I let her open it early because I was just as excited as I knew she was going to be. She tore through the box and when she saw the doll she screamed!! It was so cute. I was so happy. But the joy was short lived. We . . .like everyone else . . .put the doll in water right away to see the hair turn pink and the tattoos and nail polish change. Of course, it didn't work. She was SO upset! Luckily, I logged on to this site to see if anyone else had experienced this and i read the review that said to use ice water. That review saved the day!! She likes the doll but constantly asks me for ice cubes so "Merliah can change to her mermaid colors." Really?? Come on Mattel . . .I expected way more from you.
Rating :
Ice is the trick
After reading these reviews and the doll not changing color I deduced that temperature of your water is the key. We threw in a bucket of ice cubes in the sink of "cold" water and it finally changed color. I guess success will be based on the color of your tap water and if you are willing to add ice.
Well, at least my daughter is excited about the color change now.
Rating :
Nice barbie-no color changing
I asked my daughter what she would give this toy and she wanted to give it four stars. I obliged her, but think people should know that this toy does NOT do the color changing tricks it is supposed to. We bought two of these-one for my daughter and one for her friend. Neither of the barbies hair colors changed when subjected to cool water. The toenails and a few other things were supposed to change as well and did not.
Regardless of the color-changing being non-existent this is a nice barbie. It's also a good price for just a barbie these days.
A great toy if you don't mind that the color changing effects promised DO NOT OCCUR.

Cool Mermaid Doll
This is a cool mermaid doll with color changing hair and fading tattos. easily changes to human with a trick of her outfit. My little girl has lots of fun with this doll and loves it so much.
Rating :
They Love the Barbie Mermaid
Both my 2 year old and five year old are having a lot of fun with this Barbie. It is made very well. And it changes from a mermaid to a regular girl. We tried the color changing with some ice. It works, but this is a kind of a gimmick that really isn't necessary. All in all I say it is a nice toy.

Questions & Answers
Question : What is the difference between Myscene dolls and Bratz dolls?
They look exactly the same. And I don't quite get the hostility towards Bratz dolls. I heard one woman say that "any mother who lets her kids play with Bratz dolls should have her kids taken away". A little extreme I think.I remember the fuss over Barbie too. People complained and as a result, Barbie's measurements were changed. And Barbie is so physically and morally perfect, and therefore completely unrealistic (how many of us are ever going to get to be princesses). So I can't help but think that there are always going to be people to complain about something.
Answer:
Myscene dolls were created by the Barbie manufacturer in response to the Bratz dolls. The hostility towards the Bratz dolls has to do with their skimpy clothes and the emphasis on the bling. And I do understand why some moms are very uncomfortable with the message this may be sending to their daughters. But I let my girls have them and Barbies. Maybe because I remember people fussing about Barbie when I was a kid. I understood that it was just a doll and my girls also understand. I explain that their clothes are fine for make believe, but that you wouldn't want to dress like that in real life. I think that one woman you mentioned is absolutely insane.

Question : What would an old barbie dolls of the world collectors doll be worth?
I have a couple of old barbie collectors dolls. They are called dolls of the world, and I am thinking of selling them. How much could each be worth?
Answer:
It all depends on which Barbies you have. They can range from 25.00 up to 175.00 (MIB)& 8.00 to 65.00 (MNB) depending on which ones you have and the condition they are in.It would help to have the type and year if possible to determine the worth. The next step would be getting someone to pay the asking price you want, and what medium you would use to sell them.Good luck!<3 Barbies!!

Question : What are those dolls that you can customize hair, eye and skin color, choose outfits, and then buy?
I saw these dolls online about a year ago, they are teenage girl dolls, very pretty and very trendy fashions. You could choose the dolls skin color, hair color and eye color, then dress her head to toe in available fashions, and preview the finished product before purchasing. Trouble is, I can't remember what they are called! Can you help?
Answer:
I'm not exactly sure if they are the ones you are thinking about, but you can customize your own American Girl doll to make it look how you want to.

Question : What is the difference between american girl dolls and my generation dolls?
I decided that last Christmas to get my daughter a My Generation doll vs. the American Girl doll. Just to see how she would take care of it before getting the $90 doll. The question I have is how is the hair on these two dolls different. I find that the My Generation dolls hair is very dry, frizzy and thin where you can see the scalp on any hair style (from day one). My daughter is very frustrated by this and was wondering if the quality of the hair on an American girl doll is much better. Otherwise she loves playing with her doll. So I was wondering if anyone out there has experience both dolls and what there opinion is? Thanks!
Answer:
Hi, my daughters have 2 of each type, and we've had lots of AG dolls come to visit. Our OGG hair is a total mess. AG hair is better, but don't think it's perfect. Kit and Nicki have very easy to manage hair because it's short. A couple of the look like me dolls hair is shorter as well. But the other long haired dolls hair will get kind of yucky if you don't take care of it. Kristen and Molly in particular have very difficult hair. It comes braided and most little girls will have those braids out by the second day and you will NEVER get them back as nice as they were the day they came home. Even the straight and long haired dolls hair suffers with play. It gets sort of frizzy at the ends. You can comb through it but it's not as smooth as day 1. And you can see some scalp/wig base on the real AG dolls as well if you do certain hairstyles. Worst case scenario you can send an AG doll with trashed hair to the doll hospital and have it re-wigged. Hair aside, the AG dolls do have a nicer overall feel to them. They weigh a bit more and feel nicer in the arms. They sit better (less spread-eagle). The clothes for the OGG girls will fit, but pants from the OGG dolls will be a little tight on an AG doll and shoes may be a bit hard to pull on (AG dolls' feet are wider).ps new AG doll (Julie) coming out Aug. 20th!

Question : What is a good age to start playing with american girl dolls?
My 4 year old loves dolls very much. I just got the american girl catalog in the mail- and she found it. She started looking it through it and she found the girl that she wants. She keeps asking for it for Christmas. She gets so excited and keeps asking about the doll. What do you think? Is 4 too young start with an american girl doll?
Answer:
I don't think it's too young. I have a 2 1/2 y.o. daughter, and she found my American Girl catalog too. lol.She wants one of the bigger dolls, but I think I'm going to get her the Bitty Twins, which she said "are ohhh so adorable". They're a little smaller, and I think she'll take to them better than one of the bigger dolls, she can make them play with eachother, and if you get the starter set, it includes a stroller.

Question : When auditioning for Guys and Dolls what would be a good audition peice for a soprano?
my school is putting on guys and dolls and i would love to get a part in it. i have been in all the other shows at my school so the director is farmiliar with me, but i would love to play the role of sarah brown...any suggestions on an audition peice for a soprano with the hopes of being sarah brown?
Answer:
Our choir teacher told us to pick a piece that was in our range, but also made us sound good. Gon't pick anything too complicated. I sang Think of me from phantom of the opera in my freshamn year and was one of only five freshamn to make the cut.

Question : What are some dolls with the height of 10 cm?
I collect 10 cm dolls for my doll house. I have an extensive collection of Kelly dolls and tiny bjd's, and was wondering what other brands sell child-like posable dolls that are around 10 cm.
Answer:
Licca has twin younger sisters, named Miki and Maki. They're similar to Kelly, but with a bigger head. Each one also has a boyfriend. There's also a set of triplet babies named Kako, Gen, and Miku.

Question : What makes some porcelain dolls expensive?
There are porcelain dolls being sold at a toy and gift shops here in my place, but well, they're affordable..But don't porcelain dolls cost much? What makes those other dolls expensive? I want to start collecting soon, but I plan to get one from that gift shop because I already fell in love with 3 dolls from it :) I like my dolls (I own baby dolls) to be beside me or should I place them in one cabinet or something? But the fun wouldn't be there if I do that. (How do I know the right porcelain ones? I mean, what place?
Answer:
There are 'strict rules' if you want to 'collect' as an investment. If you want to collect porcelain dolls because you love dolls, then you can put them where you want them, and can even take them out of their boxes for display. I find the current 'rules' on 'collecting' strictly for investment a bit 'weird' ... I have several collections, of turtles (including the 'turtles' from the streets that they put there to wake people when they cross the lines), hedgehogs, and Eeyores (the donkey in Winnie the Pooh) ... and NONE of them will be of any 'value' after I die, because I LOVE THEM and have them out where I can touch and hold them when I want to. If my kids or grandkids want them to 'remember me by' that's fine ... I have a 'ceramic candy dish' that is a large turtle that my late mother-in-law gave me on her 80th birthday ... that is my 'pride and joy' and all I want when I die is for someone who really wants it to have it. I'm 'weird' about my 'collections' I suppose ... but what is the 'fun' of having a collection you can't 'touch' anyway? So ... they'll be YOUR dolls, and you may do what you want to with them ... but you can't say they are an 'investment' in anything but YOUR HAPPINESS ... and THAT IS WHAT COUNTS MOST to me, and probably to you. So, collect away ... and be happy and get the dolls you LOVE and not the 'good investments' ... you'll be happier, and that is more valuable than the 'resale price' of your dolls.
