Questions & Answers
Question : Gift idea for special 2-year old twin boys?
I need a good gift for twins. They will be turning 2 next month. One of them has cerebral palsy, and has limited use of his left side. The other can move normally. My friend can be seen on any given day pushing TWO ride-on toys down the street while trying to keep her THREE year old son from running into things on his bike. (She's SUPERMOM...I don't know how she does it.) I want to lighten my friend's load a little. Aside from a plain old wagon, are there any nice ride-on toys for two? It would need to have some kind of restraint system, or "bucket" seating so the twin with CP does not fall out.OR...has anybody ever seen a product made to tie two identical ride-ons together (safely...so something engineered for this specific purpose, and not zip ties, duct tape, or rubberbands, please). ;)Any input would be a big help. Thanks! :)
Answer:
There are some very nice wagons for two out there... and keeping in mind the need for the high back or belts, step 2 makes 4 different style wagons that could work for her... 1. The Safari Wagon - http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1370&link=pic&stp2ssid=C8795168-1143-E489-2DD7F3D8BDF1FA 032.The traveler - http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1380&stp2ssid=C8795168-1143-E489-2DD7F3D8BDF1FA033. The Choo Choo Wagon (only for a limited time right now) http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1380&stp2ssid=C8795168-1143-E489-2DD7F3D8BDF1FA03(it does have lap belts in each one.)4. The take along wagon (which is the one I had for my two boys), it does include lap belts now and you can add the 3rd trailer for the 3 year old! http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1149&stp2ssid=C8795168-1143-E489-2DD7F3D8BDF1FA03You can get these directly from Step 2http://www.step2.comHope this helps:)

Question : What sort of ride on toy works for bigger than average toddlers? ?
Okay, my daughter will be 2 in December, and she loves ride on toys, however, she's way too tall for the ones she has, even a ride in car that's supposed to work until they are 4, because she's about 37 inches tall and almost 40 lbs already. Lol- I have the playskool push walker that turns into a ride on for her, and when she sits on it, her knees are past the front of it. So are there any small ride ons designed for little ones that she can use both in the house, and outside? We're thinking about her first bike, but she's really clumsy yet(grandma always calls her grace, lol, and that's not her name) and I'm afraid she'll be falling off or digging tracks in my carpet. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Answer:
The prince lionheart wheelybug large sized. It is pricey but rides nicely. It is designed for kids ages 3-5, and weight up to 50lbs. My son who is an averaged sized nearly 8 year old ok his weight is slight 52 lbs, but he is 4'4 52 inches still rides this. It is like a scooter with wheels that turn in all directions. I like this so much I bought 2 for my sons ages 2 and 3 and 1 for my niece. They do roll nicely on carpet and are small and portable, and come fully assembled. We have the cozy coupe too by little tikes, it does not accommodate my 52inch nearly 8 year old but would certainly fit a large 4 year old easily. We also have 2 of these.

Question : My daughter is 16 months now and I can't seem to find toys she likes.?
I know she likes connecting things. (Her high chair snaps..the metal buttons on her shirts. My question is, Do you know what kind of toys like that snap and unsnap easy for toddlers?. Blocks, ride ons, even the ones where you push a button and the little animal pops up. She really likes connecting things I just can't seem to find toys like that. PLEASE HELP!!!Okay. Could you find out what the bear is called, and email me when you find out eb71208@yahoo.com
Answer:
you could always make your own. go to a sewing shop and get some snaps, velcro, zippers...that sort of thing and try sewing it on to some fabric or a toy bear.

Question : Which battery-operated ride-on toy is best for 2 year old?
Our son is turning 2 and we wish to purchase a battery-operated ride-on toy for him. He loves to 'ride' things and has plenty of ride-ons that he has to push with his legs and has a Stryder bike which he enjoys riding also. His dad takes him for rides on the 4-wheeler and lawn mower and it is his favorite thing to do so we know we want to purchase a ride-on he can operate himself. We have looked at many and do not know if it is better to purchase the smaller one geared for up to 36 months or to spend the money on one he will grow into. We want him to be able to ride it now so we worry that if we buy a bigger one he will not be tall enough to work the foot pedal. The smaller ones use a button on the handlebar to make it go but he would outgrow it sooner. Of course the smaller ones are cost less too. We are leaning towards the smaller one to ensure he can use it right away. Has anyone purchased a smaller one and wished they purchased a larger one or vice versa? We are unsure as to which would be the best options so any help is appreciated.
Answer:
i bought my 2 year old son a small battery powered 4 wheeler that was make for kids about his age and i don't regret it at all he will be 3 here shortly and he still rides it almost daily. it was one of the best things i could have gotten him for his birthday.
