Question : which theme sounds cuter?

Where could I find a beginner wood carving kit? I was hoping to find it a a store like Lowes of Home Depot, or something like Hobby Lobby or other crafts store. Is this possible or will I need to go to a specialty hobby store to find it?

you can get an exacto set from Michaels, which is basically a set of razor sharp blades of different shapes that you can mount on a pencil sized holder, or you can get a drummel from wal mart, both will be good, depending on your project

Question : How to win in a hunger games PVP server on minecraft?
So It takes a very long time to get on one of these servers and when I do I die in the first five minutes of the blood bath at the Cornucopia. My strategy is normally to take off running and grab five blocks of wood and get underground. I make a crafting table and a wooden pickaxe and keep mining down down down. I then upgrade to a stone pickaxe and make a furnace and collect some coal and iron and i work it from there. I already have a sword because of the kit I choose. So anyway this strategy has resulted in my death and disconnection from either starvation from not getting abovegroud in time, no food to hunt, or people killing me with a stone sword. So I need a new strategy to help me win. I tried climbing a tree once but still died. Please help, Thankyou. PS there are no diamonds in these servers

Question : FOR GAMERS/NERDS...good idea? Make money?
So when i was younger i used to be pretty skilled with woodburning. My folks got me a nice 100 dollar starter kit for christmas. I got some graphite paper and stencilled some graphics i printed off from my computer sketeched onto the wood then i would spend about 10 hours 8x11 peice of wood i got from the arts and crafts store....being that i was obsessed(and still am obsessed) with video games i would get pictures of master chief, Link from zelda, samus aran and i think a graphic poster from resident evil....this was about 10 years ago so i forget all the ones i did. But i got my dad to put a varnish or finish on them after they were detailed and by the end they actually looked like something you would find in your grandfather's den, hahaha. So the idea occured to me that if i were to get a new wood burning set and some stencil equipment and graphic equipment could i actually make some cash on this idea??? I guess it might be considdered "Gamer folk art"???I put a lot of detail into them so they almost look 3D on the wood and the finish on them gives them that older crisp look. Just wondering if i started going custom with it, and taking in requests, could i turn this hobby into cash??? The materials are dirt cheap...the actual wood is about 75 cents, the finishing materials are probably 10-20 bucks, the pen is about 60-80 bucks.....and the graphite paper is about 8 bucks per 5 complete peices. For a detailed peice, what would you pay for a custom one of these??? I like doing video game idea's the most because seeing something so modern in such a nestalgiac(if that's how you spell it) view is really unique and pretty cool. But i can do pretty much anything the "customer" would want...depending on the detail would be the price and the time put in. What's a fair price for something of this nature? I was hoping to go as low as 25 dollars a peice...opinions?

If they are customized, detailed, and look professionally done, you can get a lot more than $25 for them. However, at a $25 price range, you could probably sell a lot more of them. A couple of things to keep in mind: if you are really good and the drawings look too much like the real characters, companies could sue you for using their characters without permission. If you instead use your artistic skills and sketch similar looking characters that are a "take" off of the originals, you wouldn't have to worry about lawsuits. I think that your best market for this sort of thing is Etsy.com and possibly posting examples on DeviantArt as well. In using Etsy.com as a market, you can show off a couple samples of completed work you have done, take requests for other characters, make custom pieces, etc. I think you have a great idea, but that the drawings need to be your own, so that you avoid lawsuits.
