To big for an action figure to clunky to be a doll....

My daughter got this toy and was very excited. However there wasnt much she could with. she tried to cuddle with it but its plastic and uncomfortable, she tried to play with it but it was too big and cumbersome.

This was my favorite toy as a kid.

Reflecting on those years of fun as a minor, I remembered my favorite movie (and still my favorite animated film), Toy Story. Of course, either intentionally or as a nice bonus, the movie is a marketer's wet dream and I found Buzz Lightyear totally irresistible, I had to have one. Anyway, this became my favorite toy until one week about a year later when an unfortunate bout of stomach centric influenza left my better-used toys caked in some rather unpleasant gunk that my mother was never quite able to get out of the nooks and crannies of this toy. Note to self: hug mother. Anyway the thing never actually broke and I loved it while I had it, highly recommended.

not what they used to be

My son recieved this toy for his 3rd birthday. He absolutly loved it, and couldn't wait to show Woody. He did not play rough with him at all.. in fact he never even dropped it.. 2 days after the party I picked up Buzz so I could sit down and noticed his laser button had fallen down into the arm, no way to fix it. And the 3 buttons on front have a short in them as sometimes Buzz says all his phrases at once.. though I think it bothers me more than my son. I asked him "If Buzz quits working all together will you still love him." to which he replied "yes!!" and gave him a big hug. Also I have had no problem with the wings, like the others, but he leaves them out most of the time.

Toy is a hit but quality is not.

If your children loved toy story then they will love this toy!! However you the parent will not. The wings fall off constantly and we've even had a hand break off. The kids still love and play with Buzz all the time and it is certainly not the fault of any seller that the doll tends to fall apart. Disney made it cheaply and that is that. If your children love Toy Story then you are stuck and you replace it when it wears out. Just be aware that this is not a toy that is going to last forever if your children really play with it a lot.

Great Buzz

My 2-1/2 year old daughter absolutely loves the Toy Story movies more than anything, so we got her this Buzz Lightyear action figure and the Woody doll as her reward for completing potty training. She absolutely loves both and seems to have no complaint. I really love how it's actually Tim Allen's voice (the Woody we got is not Tom Hanks' voice...). I haven't had any issues with anything breaking, but we've only had it a few months, and my daughter doesn't really play with it that rough. Overall I think it's great, although I do have a few of the same disapointments that some other reviewers have expressed, namely that the his helmet does NOT, in fact, do "that WHOOOSH thing" that they made such a big deal about in the movie. He doesn't have quite all the bells and whistles that they show in the movie, but overall he's pretty great and my daughter loves him!

This is the quintessential, classic, truly original Talking Buzz Lightyear Toy Story toy. It has Tim Allen's voice saying "To Infinity and Beyond" etc., It has a laser light in its arm, the retractable helmet, pop-up wings, and the uniform that glows in the dark. It is a remarkable toy in any package. Also, it has pose-able joints.

Buzz Lightyear

My little girl loves Toy Story! We got her this toy for Christmas. She loves it and often wants to sleep with it. My biggest issues with it is that it is bulky and cumbersome. Also the wings come off all the time.

This is a USED toy for retail prices!

I wish I would have read the reviews. It has problems. It is used and repackaged. It doesn't work all that well, but my daughter loves it. I don't have anything against used toys, but I have something against a $40 used toy that I would have paid $4.00 for at a yard sale. It is scratched, loose, doesn't move properly, everything everyone else said. I live overseas on a military base. So returning and re-ordering (not from this guy) would have taken at least a month. She was not letting go of him as soon as she saw him so there you go. I went back and forth w/ Amazon who finally gave me $10 of the $40 back as a refund. So, I think that is the end of it. Still...$30 for a used toy is almost as bad. Amazon has always done right by us, dunno why they are still letting this vendor sell.

Havin' a blast

Sent to each grandson and they're really impressed with Buzz. These are durable and will last a long time with moderate care. If I were to do it all over again - I would buy the same toy.

Looks great, quality is so-so

This Buzz is okay from an adult point of view. For a kid he's great to look at, hard to play with. We were disappointed that it doesn't sound like Tim Allen's voice even though it's a Disney toy. The hips swivel a lot so he's kind of hard to hold and the helmet pretty much just stays open now. Our biggest complaint is the wings - they are very very hard to put back in (you have to open them both first & put them back in at the same time). Not sure we'd buy him again but the reaction when our little one first opened him earns this toy 3 stars.

I bought this toy a few years ago for my son and it was nice but it has a few sayings, the wings are like 5 1/2 inches long, the laser lights up and makes sounds and the blue and black belt does NOT do anything. My opinion is you do not buy it at that price of 40.00.

JUNK

This toy is a piece of junk. While trying to place the belt around Buzz the first time, it broke. The wings don't stay in place, and the helmet won't stay on either.

I purchased two of these for my twin boys for Christmas this year and neither of of the Buzz's has met my expectation for a toy made by Disney.

Don't bother purchasing. You will just end up with a broken toy and a frustrated kid. Unless your kid is Sid, from next door. He'll love the toy.

Mini Buzz with all of the accessories

This 6 inch Buzz has the wings and helmet! He does not have the karate chop arm, but his legs and arms are all movable. We've had him a month now, and he seems fairly durable. Easy to loose his wings and helmet, so keep an eye on them.

It came in about two days of ordering it. And it made my two year old very happy.

bad wings and belt

The toy has thus far survived 2 months of use by a very rough 4-year old.
He managed to take a leg off which was easily popped back in.
The wings can be removed and therefore keep getting lost. The belt would not stay on at all since day one. All this has not stopped it from being my son's favorite toy together with 6" Woody.
If you don't mind a Buzz without wings and belt it's a good toy.
