Question : When is it okay to wear my novelty tie?
I have a few ties that are novelty sports ties, such as the team logo as a pattern on the tie.. is it okay to wear those to work on special occasions? Say my favorite team just won a big game, would it be acceptable to wear that tie? or is that a big no-no?
Answer:
I don't see why you couldn't wear a novelty tie once in a while, like you suggest if your team is playing a big game, to show your support etc,. As a bow tie wearer I often seem to set apart from the majority, but that's not a problem as long as the ties are not distasteful or vulgar in any manner.Good luck!

Question : where can I find all the games made by Marshfield Novelty Co Inc.?
Its a two foot tall punch bag like game that tells your strength based on how far a needle on the front spins. It appears old and is heavy as all get out. On the front it says " Punch me and I'll tell your strength" on the side is a slot for nickels. On the bottom front it says made by Marshfield novelty co Incorporated minneapolis and has "No. 1095" Any ideas? All the games I found made by this company are 5 and 7 slot games. I'm at a loss. I want to clean and repair but I don't know what the original looked like? thanks for any help

Okay, those team races are also played in the US Pony Clubs. I've never played or coached tire or tack shop, but here are my thoughts on the others:For the rope race, you need to match up the ponies so that each pair is compatible. You want your fastest pony to go first since they go alone to the other end (or if you have one that doesn't work well with others put them first)Old Sock: For all dunking races, reach down as far as possible, and drop the sock backhanded. Never throw it or it could bounce out. Jump off your pony early, so you can run alongside and pick up the sock while turning around the end.Stepping Stone Dash: Get off early so you can establish a good rhythm and straightness of running beside your pony. Counting the stones helps some people not miss any.Litter Race: Practice! You have to lean down, getting your litter stick as close to horizontal as possible, stick the end in the carton, then, as you start your pony forward, flick it up with your wrist. Don't flick too hard or you'll just launch it into the air. The forward momentum of the pony makes it easier to pick up than from a standstill. When dropping the litter into the basket, keep your eye on it and watch it go all the way in. Sometimes if you look up too soon, you end up missing because you unknowingly move your arm. This game takes practice to get the feel of doing it right.Balloon race: Keep your eye on the balloon you want to pop until it's popped. Same problem as the litter race drop. Usually it's better to pop with a slamming motion instead of a poking motion, since you have a greater chance of popping it that way.Spillers: Put the person with the most trouble mounting last since they only have to get off once.Three Mug: Make sure you are turning as you are reaching for the mugs, to save time. This helped a lot with my little 9 & under kids who otherwise would be grabbing at the mugs while going straight, then were turning around far past the pole. Turn and grab (or place) at the same time. The little guys all loved this race for some reason.Five Flag: Keep you eye on the hole as you're putting the flag in, until it's all the way in. Keep the flags vertical for handoffs (same goes for litter and balloon).

I’m talking about basically everything. From every major game from the original to Generations. Every comic, every anime, every everything. I’m excluding games like Sonic Pinball because, obviously, those are novelty games. It’s just been on my conscience for so many years now, i just would like to know HOW he does all these things. If you can’t find a good source for me, maybe try making one up yourself? this would be really helpful for me, since this has been on my mind for several years now.

A novelty? You could try going to the game store, buying an old console, and get lots of cool games for it! I think a ps1 or NES would do well. A dreamcast would be pretty cool too. The nice thing about that would be that you would have the games to play anytime you want, but they would cost very little. What's more of a novelty than something new that nobody else has?

Question : Does anyone know which are more (interactive) fun the new Wii games or Eyetoy games on a PS2.?
I am thinking of buying one or the other but don't want to spend too much money as I know the kids will get bored by either very quickly its just the novelty of playing the games in the new way thats attractive right now and buying a PS2 would be cheaper but I'll make the investment if the Wii games are definetely more fun then the Eyetoy ones.

EyeToy games are crappy. They're not that realistic. The games are way too simple. The graphics aren't that impressive. It will get your kid to exercise more because they do become the character, but again, the games suck. The PS3's Playstation Eye looks like it's going to be a huge improvement over the EyeToy.Wii, on the other hand, has the better games, if you do your research on the games. Don't just pick up a game just because it looks fun. A lot of Wii games are crappy and nothing but ripoffs of Nintendo games, so do your research before deciding on what games to buy. Your kids won't become the character, but they do act like the character. For example, if your kid swings his Wii-mote, Link swings his sword.

Toys are for children. Like tickle me elmo is a toy. Barbie is a toy. Lego blocks are toys.A novelty item is for adults, not children. Think of it as Toys for adults, but I think adults want to sound grown up so they use the term novelty item.
