Question : What age do you think someone should stop playing with action figures?
My friend who is 14 and his brother who is 10 have action figures that they use for stopmotion, but occasionally use for just playing around with. I was thinking about it, but it never hit me until now, the thought of when people should stop playing with action figures.Any input? I dont think its weird to use for the stop motion, but when do you think the cut off is to stop playing with them?
Answer:
I Display them (Star Trek, Star Wars, Monster Movie Characters, Sports Figures) in the original package and a few without. But I don't play with them, that is for my grandkids.

Question : How much will these Star Wars action figures be worth in the future?
I have been collecting Star Wars Vintage Collection (2010-2011) Star Wars action figures because the cards and figures are awesome. Some of these are already very popular and sell for way over retail prices. How much do you think these figures might be worth in 5 years if kept well and not opened.
Answer:
The thing with collectibles is you simply never know. It depends on many factors, here are just a few: - Units in series (units produced) - Quality of product - Demand (this fluctuates over time, in 40 years another 3 movies might come out, making these worth way way more at that time) - Collectibility (do they come with accessories? toys with accessories are worth far more down the road, kids tend to lose them making complete units rare) Also, 5 years isn't a timeframe to consider for value, if they're going to have value, you're looking minimum 10 years, but usually closer to 20+ (especially with Star Wars toys, which historically go up and down in price based on the current culture around the movies).

I need to find a good place to buy soft plastic action figures. I am a beginner action figure customizer and have had little to no experience, I don't have very much cash so i need someplace that doesnt charge too much, and maybe you could throw in some good action figures to start with. Question : Unopened action figures are worth more, but what if the packaging is slightly damaged?
I know action figures still in their original packaging is worth a lot more than having them opened, but what if the packaging is slightly damaged, ie. dented, crumpled, etc? Is it still worth more?
Answer:
Although some degree of handling damage is to be expected, the condition of the packaging is just as important as the contents, so it does matter.

The summer has taken its toll and now I'm bored out of my mind. I've always liked action figures so I just wanted to know some good action figures to collect. As strange as it seems, I see this in a way as an investment so I would like to have action figures that will increase in value over time. Please be specific for example: year, brand, size.
Answer:
I'm not necessarily saying pokemon, but many Japanese anime and manga shows have very creative and unique characters, which kind of reflects on to the action figures made of them, so finding something like that would be a good investment. Hope you find something you like.

Do a product search for the current listings. They will usually have a photo and of course a description and if they match your product you will fairly have an idea of how much to list your item for sale. :)

Question : What age did your son start playing with action figures and stuff like that?
My son is only 1.5 but he will be almost 2 at Christmas. I'm already thinking about what I want to get him. He's at an in between stage with toys. The baby ones are too infantile and the bigger boy ones such as action figures, are too old I think. So the question is, at what age did your boys start playing with action figures and what did you get for your boys when they were 2 and 2.5. He has a birthday a few months after Christmas. Thanks!
Answer:
My son is 2 1/2. He is really into playing with trains. They don't have to be the expensive battery opperated kind - he just loves plain old little tikes - like the little people plastic type. Another great thing for 2 year olds is the leap frog alphabet magnets. You can get it at walmart for about $15 - it teaches the kids the letters of the alphabet and the sounds of each letter. My son got this for his 2nd bday and can tell you anything and everything about the alphabet. Then they have the lower case letters that you can buy after they understand the upper case. Its fun and learning. People can't believe how much he knows for his age.If you are interested in more action figure type stuff...he still doesn't play with those, but he does like little animal figurine type toys. He got a little Noah's Ark that has a bunch of animals - zebras, monkeys, giraffe's, etc, as well as a little people farm set with a goat, tiger, and so on. He loves to play with those and mix them with his other toys. He puts them on the train cars and pushes them around the track. These are good for learning animals and practicing animal sounds.
