Questions & Answers
Question : What would the best pet be for a 8 year old boy and 11 year old girl?
Well i am trying to get a pet for an 8 year old boy and 11 year girl what would the best pet be???

Answer:
NOT a rabbit, rabbits are complicated delicate and potentially aggressive animals if handled incorrectly, they're not good pets to be around children at all.For your kids, nothing. For your FAMILY it depends on your situation. Never get a pet just for the children, it must be an animal that the whole family, you included, will care for, especially if the kids can't be bothered to do any cleaning, feeding etc, that will be entirely your responsibility. And a lot of animals will outlive your eldest living at home potentially so long term planning is necessary! In the right environment a dog or cat is probably a better idea, provided your kids are responsible and you can provide the right environment for it!

Question : Could someone around 8-11 years old be legitimately depressed?
I'm just curious. Before I didn't think it would be possible, but now I'm starting to see signs of this in younger kids I know. Can this happen?

Answer:
Awhile ago it wasnt common because it was believed that depression and other mental illnesses didnt occur until the early 20's. Even still today thats usually the case, but depression yes could occur in children and were seeing it now more than ever.Children can be provided therapy even at those ages although there typically prescribed smaller doasges of medicine (if needed) that differs from that of an adult.Parents are and should be strongly cautioned to look for early signs of depression. If caught early it can be put under control or corrected altogether.

Question : What is the best python to get for a 8-11 year old?
What is the best python to get for a 8-11 year oldwell what is the best ball python to get for a 10 year old

Answer:
My son got a Ball python for his 5th birthday. He takes care of it himself, handles it, everything. (At age 9, he knows more about snakes than most of the people that post answers here). It does great, is small and gentle.I would recommend a ball python for beginners of every age. But, you need to research their needs thoroughly, and plan to be the primary caregiver.

Question : My children live 200 miles away 11 and 8 years old they do not keep in touch with me. Please help.?
Five years ago my ex-wife moved 200 miles away with my children. Son is 11 years Daughter 8 years. I get no feedback from my ex- wife about the children as she is still very hostile towards me. I regularly collect the children every 3-4 weeks and do a 800 mile around trip to bring them home. They have never been encouraged to keep in touch with me. My daughter never rings. So I ring her when I dare risk talking to the ex. I pay for a mobile phone for my son. I text him every morning and every night and try and ring him every day. But he is often very rude to me and gives me no feedback whatsoever.we have had many great times holidays mountain biking and so on .I think I have spoilt them both and now they have no respect for me. I get very depressed when They do not ring if I do not ring they will not ring me. My son rings when he wants something and that's it. The summer holiday is coming up I feel I want to cancel it. I can not cope being locked out of their lives. Please help Steve.

Answer:
I'm sorry you're in this situation, I truly am. But you know, sometimes it's not the kids.My cousin and his girlfriend moved to another country with my niece (7) and nephew (11) at the begining of this year. Their mother is still a big part of our family, she always will be. But she has hardly any contact with her kids, even before they moved overseas, and it kills her. It's not that the kids don't love her and don't want any contact with her, it's because their fathers girlfriend won't allow them to. And because my stupid cousin loves the stupid minipulative lying coniving b**ch hes blinded to what she does. And because the kids love their father they don't tell him what she does.Hang in their dude. Just keep letting them know you love them and that you're not going away.

Question : ok i really want to do ballet im 5'4 11 years old i have been doing swim for 8 years do i have the body 4 it?
I have long legs a tallish frame. Just a little of baby fat not that graceful. Not super strong but strong, lean lags and an average body im really silly but my heart really want's to go for this oh yeah dont want to do point but i can stand of the very tip and tops of toes have little exsperience doing ballet on ly a little!

Answer:
i have a similar body to you, used to do ballet, and have been swimming for 9 years also (im 12 started at age 3, just turned 12 2 days ago) i would say go for it, girl! try to find a class with your age group to avoid uncomfortable situations like taking a class with 5 year olds that are better than you :) unless you want to pursue this as a career, do not go to formal dance companies who train young ballerinas. try capitol dance, or to start out, your local ymca. the longer you do it, the more toned your muscles will get (spinning around is hard work!) it might be hard to start out, because ballet uses different muscles than swimming, but anyways... good luck!

Question : Medical school-8 years vs. 11 years?
What's the difference between 8 year vs. 11 year medical program and which one is better? Are there any scholarships or full ride for a medical program? And what can i do to prepare for it?

Answer:
Medical schools are 4 year curriculums, although there are a few 3 years of accelerated medical schools. Medical schools provide your general education in medicine towards an MD.There is no such thing as an 8 year or 11 year medical school.Maybe you're thinking of the residency program when you get your medical specialty training. That comes after medical school and can take 3-7 years depending on the specialty and an additional 1-3 years of an optional fellowship program if you want to train in a sub-specialty.

Question : Why are Republicans still scared of Muslims after 8 years of 9/11?
Bush gave trillions of handouts to Jews and Iraqis. There is no Trade center towers to bring it down or anything worthy. So why are Republicans still paranoid and scared of anything related to Muslims? Is trusting God means fearing for their lives even when Bush was letting Cheney running the show for 8 years?Dennis P, was Timothy McVeigh or Bush a Muslim?

Answer:
I'm not actually a Republican, but I'll answer anyway.I'm not scared of Muslims,I just recognize their Religion to be a Cancer.I'm sure there are plenty of "decent muslims",though if they truly followed their vile hate filled ideology to the letter, there wouldn't be.Eventually they will have to choose whether they're on the side of Islam,or on the side of decent human beings. Most will probably make the wrong choice,so be it.AD

Question : What are some treasure hunt clues for an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy?
I'm am babysitting an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy and I wanted to make a treasure hunt for them both. The prize will be a Cd for the both of them or a certificate to play the Wii for 30mins. Which Prize is better do you think is better?

Answer:
Definatley CD!Or i-tunes gift cardJust do stuff that is like around the house and garden, hide them under matresses. But for the first clue it could be directions form a particular starting point (different for each kid and easier for the younger) and have them follow that to the first clue which will be a pencil and pad and make the second clue a code one easy and one hard and each clue from then on is in code and they have to decipher that to find the next clue

Question : What kind of game will suitable for 8-11 years old kids?
I'm an English teacher, and I'd like to give a game for kids which will also improve their English. Any suggestion?

Answer:
If you look at the teacher resource sites or catalogs there are plenty of boardgames focusing on particular skills and grade levels. If you want to make something up I would look at what your kids need improvement with most and would work with that. Jeopardy is always interesting and now you can find a lot of templates and examples on line. You could come up with grammar topics or English references.Always check with your school what internet licenses are available to you and see if there is anything on any of those sights that you can use. If not you can petition your school to invest in some.

Question : is 11 years old ok to watch my 8 year old sister for 5hours?
is 11 years old ok to watch my 8 year old sister for 5hours?

Answer:
Well, for an 11 year old, 5 hours home alone is a long time. If your sister starts acting up an doing really bad things, you probably won't be able to control her. Something could happen but your parents wouldn't find out. Even if you are very mature, I don't think you should be staying at home for that long by yourself. You are still young.
