Question : Is possible to have negative items removed off your credit report without waiting 5-7 years?
When I was disputing an item on my credit report I seen an option that said "company allowed to have item removed" [ in so many words]. Is it really possible to request to have something removed by collecting company?
Answer:
No. Negative items stay on your credit report for 7 years plus 180 days.Your credit report is a PERMANENT RECORD of your payment history. If you have inaccurate items on your credit file, you can challenge those yourself for FREE. They come off if they cannot be verified.

Question : What professions are going to be high in demand in around 5-7 years?
I'm looking of going into a health related profession, which ones will be high in demand? Which undergraduate university programs do you need to complete for these professions?
Answer:
Up and coming fields are definitely in the sciences, especially geneticists. There is currently an effort in researching ways to produce things like gasoline, plastic, etc. through genetic cloning of bacterium or other cells. Making a discovery like this would pretty much save the world from the oil crisis, over harvesting, forest degradation, etc, although the likelihood of any one person making this discovery in the next few years is very slim. If that's not quite your field, I assume that most jobs will be in higher demand than they are now in 5-7 years, assuming the economy recovers within that time. Jobs not to get into include nursing, teaching, and other jobs that are obviously suffering. I also happen to have an aunt who used to be a hospital manager, who is currently out of a job, so strike that off of your list. I know a few people who are planning to work at Kaiser (where you work for like ten years nonstop and then get pretty much full retirement benefits if you're a doctor) and then plan to go on to do non profit work in places in need of doctors, like India, Africa, etc. or just in the same town they live in in America, but found a non profit hospital in the poorer part of town. So that's an idea if you want to be a doctor who makes a difference. Any way you go, you should be informed that there is basically no money in the health industry any more (as in you won't get rich being a doctor). But, if you really love what you do, it shouldn't matter. Okay, if you're still reading I hope I helped. ps. I only know all of this because my entire family is in the health field. Parents are doctors, everyone's somehow in health care, so I'm not just rambling, even though I have no cited sources. Anyway, good luck!

Question : If machine depreciates 70% in 5 years, how much will it in 7 years?
A piece of equipment is purchased for $14,000. The machine depreciates to 70% of its purchase price after 5 years. Assuming the depreciation is a linear function of time, determine the salvage value of the machine 7 years after it was purchased?I know this is simple, but it's been a while. I'll choose best answer right away!
Answer:
Straight line depreciation means the machine loses the same amount of value each year....$14,000 to $9,800 in 5 years means $(14,000-9,800)/5 = $840/yrIn 2 more years, it will depreciate a further $1,680 to $8,120Despite the phrasing of the question, $8,120 is not necessarily the salvage value of the machine. The salvage value is what it can be sold for while the depreciated value is a book-keeping number

Question : What is the prognosis for US stocks in the next 5 years?
I am a financial planner working in Canada with my own perceptions of the US economy and stock markets but I'd like to hear the opinions of advisors or investors who reside in the US and are exposed to a more persistent and complete set of data. Aside from currency considerations what kind of 5 -7 year prognosis does the us stock market have?
Answer:
Over all there will be a sideways trend. Some highs and lows but a sideways trend. After that it will be a bull market once again.

Question : Is there a website where can access historical weather data (last 5-7 years) for free?
I need the weather stats for the last 5-7 years for a specific area. All the websites I have found give the last weeks info, or for a fee you can get the archived info. Before I pay, I want to exhaust every possible resource. Ideas?
Answer:
If you are in the U.S. try this site;http://www.weather.gov/climate/click on the map for the local office. Under the observed weather reports banner. Choose;1. Preliminary Climatology Data (CF6)2. Location (pick the city you want)3. Pick Archived data and then the month and year you want. 4 click on GOThe data for a month comes in a pop up window. It will include the high/low and rain/snow for each day and a few other things. It varies from office to office how many months that these records go back. Some offices keep 10 years or more while some only go back a year or two.

Question : What is the best way to invest money- 100k$, long terms from 5-7 years?
What is the best way to invest money- from 100k$ to 250k$, long terms from 5-7 years And what’s the proximately profit yearly thank youI need to invest with the best investment fundI have my own businesses, I don’t have time to bay & sell shears I looking for best fund to invest my money long term
Answer:
Identify yourself as what type of investor are you. If you fall under aggressive category, you want to invest 80% in stocks and 20$ in bonds/CD/money market funds.Invest in index funds 1/3 starting from Dow30, S&P500 Index, Russell 2000 and International (Morgan Stanley) Index funds. You will cover the entire stock market and won't regret it. If someone tells you to buy Google or Apple, think twice. They are good stocks but also have very high Price to Earning ratio. You should expect somewhere in the range of 5-10% return per year.

I live in the Philadelphia area and I want to get rid of some old textbooks that won't get a sniff on ebay because they are too old. I would prefer not to throw these books away, but if it comes to that I might have to.All my books are science texts, like Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc. and are still useful but not useful to me unfortunately.

Question : Will the job market for lawyers be better in 5-7 years?
Depending on the pace I work at, I should be finishing law school in5 to 7 years, preferably from USC's or UCLA's schools of law. Is it possible that by that time the economy will be on an upswing and I'll be able to get hired at a good law firm? Please no rudeness. I'm not asking for someone to be a psychic and tell me what the market will be like, simply speculation, and how the ebb and flow of the economy effects the law profession, and if it immediately affects it. Thank you!
Answer:
I would say so. Recent statistics of Lawyer turnover and the fact that there are more lawyers then there are positions to be filled has many students runnig from the hills. Fewer and fewer people will apply over the next 3 years because of the fact there are simply too many people with law degrees. Also, many predict a rise in the economy within the next few years, neutralizing the imbalance notoriously located within the legal field. USC and UCLA are great law schools.
